Hi everyone,

The time has come and the offers thread is now open. As usual, please follow the example template below to post your information. Your contribution will be used as resources for current and future applicants.

Example Template

Weighted-GPA: 9.0
UMAT: Thresholds met, 69/68/59, (98th %ile)
MAPAS: No
Rural: No
Medicine Offer: Offered
Dentistry Offer: N/A
Other: Physiotherapy, declined

You won't be able to comment on your offers now, but please make sure to edit your post to include offer status, especially for dentistry.

Useful Link: NZ Statistics - Previous cutoffs.

Good luck!

Weighted-GPA: 8.158 (8.143 - Auckland)
UMAT: Thresholds met, 60/60/68, (95th %ile)
MAPAS: No
Rural: No
Medicine Offer:
Dentistry Offer: N/A
Other: N/A

My second semester results left me a little disheartened and dropped my GPA below last years direct entry cut-off, but hopefully I can make it onto the waiting list. I know our HSFY cohort had the first massive jump in rank score so there are some very intelligent individuals that missed out the first time round, so i can't be too mad if I miss out again. Still have the Auckland interview to look forward to lol. Good luck to everyone, may the odds ever be in your favour!

Ikr, having a GPA >8.0 has usually been considered very good, but you can't help but feel small when half of these GPAs are so close to a 9 o_O
This happens every year. MSO posts have a fairly obvious selection bias - the average post on here is typically much higher than what you need to get in (I hasten to point out, because someone always gets confused, that this has no bearing on the accuracy of the cut-off we can estimate).

If you've got a GPA in the 8.somethings, then you've done an exceptional job during your degree. You've also got a pretty darn good chance of getting a med seat.
