weird, haven't received an offer even with first class honours (though was less than 85, so maybe it griffith looked at the mark rather than the class?)
I've already been accepted at UWA so doesn't bother me but thought i'd just add that in for future data
yeah thats definitely my biggest worry haha. Would hate to have not gotten in due to a technicality, and thing is, its happened before to someone (was reported here on MSO) so who knows, could happen again.
definitely haha, gonna be a long 5 days from when uac offers are released
oh so essentially if you applied to lets say griffith and JCU, you wont necessarily have the same mark/rank as they calculate things differently right?
like griffith would award you a gpa of 7 purely based on your honours but JCU will award you a GPA based on the average of your last three years?
yeah i think youre probably right.
With the first round offers coming out so soon im just stressing, thinking of all worst case scenarios that might happen.. Gonna be a long 11 days haha kinda regret not applying to UAC
I might've misunderstood so any clarification would be most helpful - you said griffith will just use what QTAC has but when I contacted QTAC they said my GPA is a 6 (i got first class honours but got below 85), but i thought griffith awarded a GPA of 7 no matter what mark you got as long as it...
Another Australian university
just type in "university" under "name of the previous australian institution" and scroll till you find your uni as I also tried putting down the name of my institution and it wouldn't come up.
Also not all the courses have been assessed by griffith so if you dont...
awesome thank you :)
also, if i applied through qtac, is there any way of finding out if i got in before the 16th seeing as UAC release offers on the 11th? like would i be able to call griffith directly and ask them or would they be secretive about it?
what is the further discriminating factor that they use? i got a first class honours (standalone) and was told that its given a GPA of 7, but based on what you said if thats given a rank of 99 making me equal to everyone else, would they use my bachelor GPA to rank me against those who also...
what subjects are you looking to get credit for? i've completed a bachelor of science and I'm hoping to get credit for pretty much all of the first year subjects except the dentistry specific courses. But for now, i'm just hoping i get an offer first haha
