Griffith Griffith Dentistry: Admissions General Discussion

This is the UAC ATAR profile for this January round of offers https://www.uac.edu.au/assets/documents/atar/ATAR-profiles-Jan_Rd1-2018-19.pdf It shows the statistics of all the UAC offers on January 11th including Griffith Dentistry. Dentistry Entry Discussion and Questions

For dentistry, job prospects don't really matter on the university you attend. UQ might be a Go8 university and more "prestigious" but ultimately, that really doesn't matter unless you're at law school. Having said that: UQ is HECs for all 5 years. Griffith is full fee for the final 2...

    Dentistry Entry Discussion and Questions

In addition to what Crow said, I think UWA is the only graduate entry dental school that takes grad dip into account. UWA just uses the 3 most recent years of study regardless of program. HOWEVER, USyd and UniMelb don't use grad dip for GPA calculations.

Weighted GPA of 5.23 for med

USyd however uses the UAC way to calculate GPA since it isn't part of the Gemsas consortium. It is much harder to get a high UAC GPA compared to a Gemsas GPA. Furthermore, the OP says the 5.23 GPA is weighted. UQ and USyd GPA is both unweighted. As for Griffith, sorry but you don't really...

    [Grad] GPA woes

However, USyd doesn't use the Gemsas GPA calculation system. Instead, they use UAC's system. 85+ is 7, 75+ is 6, 65+ is 5 and passing is 4. So a UAC GPA will tend to be lower than Gemsas. So while it's hard to tell the exact UAC GPA based on the OP's data(since you need to get the grades from...
