Griffith Griffith Dentistry: Admissions General Discussion

In regards to 1040DOH, does anyone know what the seminars are like? Are they similar to lectures? Is attendance compulsory? The course profile doesn't elaborate much.

From the myGriffith homepage you need to click on 'my courses' then 'manage enrolment' and then click on the link that says 'my courses' again. It should show your current enrolled courses on a box on the right side of the screen. The final link you need to click on is actually 'my program'.

I've just logged into my account as I'm a current Griffith student and under my program it now states Bachelor of Dental Health Science. Still awaiting confirmation tomorrow morning from QTAC though. Good luck everyone!

I'm applying with the same GPA. Feeling nervous as well haha. We should be fine though. Fingers crossed!

I had a bit of a browse and it appears at least one MSO user received an offer through UAC for Griffith before the 16th Jan offer round from QTAC.

Yes, my QTAC application says closed as well. I believe 28 December was the last date for applications to this course.

My application also shows pending. I recall asking QTAC about this and the person on the phone mentioned that this was normal and had something to do with Griffith assessing each applicant with their own entry criteria.

Thanks for your reply Crow. What makes you say a 'significant' jump in cut-off is not unlikely. Is this just based on the trend in previous offers reported on MSO, or are there other factors this year that could influence the cut-off?

I just had a general question for any current dental students. Is having access to a laptop important while in class? I usually like to print out the slides and write notes by hand, but I'm not sure whether having a laptop will make it easier.

Griffith Griffith Dentistry: Admissions General Discussion

Hi everyone, First time poster. I've completed a year of full time study and obtained a GPA of 6.875. I've just been reading through the forums and was wondering whether there have been any cases on MSO where an applicant with this GPA has not received an offer from Griffith?
