    Adelaide UAdel Medicine: Accommodation Discussion

I’m staying at Lincoln college. I think at this point your best shot would be to call all the colleges and explain your situation - from your post history, I can see that you’re moving to Adelaide from Sydney and will be studying dentistry. Hopefully they’ll be able to find you a spot, or put...

Adelaide UAdel Dentistry: Admission General Discussion

Hey, congrats on getting all those offers! I'm just guessing here, but I'd say that Griffith would probably have the most mature age students (as it's generally seen as much easier to get a 6.875 GPA than say a 99.8 ATAR), whereas La Trobe would have the least (given they accept a very small...

    Dentistry Entry Discussion and Questions

Hey, if UQ does end up sending out second round offers then I think you’re in a great position for one. I just did 1 FTE of a regular bachelor degree, so I think it came down to our UCAT scores being 10 apart. Congrats on getting Griffith though and best of luck for a top-up UQ offer!! :)

UNSW UNSW Medicine: General Entry Questions and Discussion

I could be wrong but I think some disadvantages are automatically added, e.g. attending a disadvantaged school or living in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area

Adelaide UAdel Dentistry: Admission General Discussion

Has it been confirmed that the majority of offers for Adelaide dent will be released this Friday? Given that 3 offers were reported on here for the December round, and only 5 offers were reported here for 2019 entry, I'm worried that a large proportion of offers have already been released.

UQ UQ Dentistry: Admissions General Discussion

There are four first year subjects that both pharmacy and dentistry students take, so I imagine they'd give quite a lot of transfer credit for pharmacy and potentially other health science students

LaTrobe La Trobe Dentistry: General Discussion

The person you were referring to did receive an offer through Aspire though, so that could explain why they received an offer with lower stats than you

Common pitfalls to avoid for year 12 school leavers and other medicine applicants

    1) Did you even read my post? You won't be able to do GAMSAT in first year, unless you plan to learn first year bio and chem at a faster pace than your already accelerated degree 2) Correct. Just like any degree 3) Did you even read Mana's post? Edit: I just had a glance at the course structure...

Common pitfalls to avoid for year 12 school leavers and other medicine applicants

That still doesn't make it the best route to medicine though. Clinical science is essentially a three year degree crammed into two. Also, the standards would theoretically be higher, given that everyone in your cohort will have the exact same mentality as you (yet very few of you will get in)...

General Interview Discussion and Questions 2020 Entry

Don't get me wrong, I understand why the cut-offs are higher than say Adelaide's. But it's still very interesting to think about how offers will pan out, given that people who get a CSU interview would also get an interview for JMP, Adelaide dent and Adelaide med. Since CSU isn't the most...

    If you're a non-rural school-leaver, probably not. Sorry
