Thought I'd get this started for Auckland for 2017 entry, might as well get a better idea of what GPA / UMAT / MMI is needed to get into medicine at UoA.

It would be great if we could get as many people to post their scores as possible, to hopefully shed some light on where you need to aim for to get into the MBChB programme.

Best of luck!

Hi @Louise91 ,

That's a good GPA and I think you would have a good chance given that you are a rural applicant (only considering GPA and UMAT). To give you an idea, a rural applicant with 8.325 with ~85%ile UMAT was offered a place for 2016 MBChB.

Good luck and let us know what the outcome is if you don't mind. This will help us immensely for future applicants (many people post their grades up but most of them do not post the outcome - makes it difficult to make predictions).

-edit-

Another case: A non-rural applicant with 7.95 GPA and ~73%ile UMAT was offered a place at Auckland and Otago (first round waitlist).
