Hi, I'm looking to sit the GAMSAT next March. I'm planning on learning all the minimum knowledge by the end of September and I want to spend the 6 months between then and the exam burning through as many practice questions as feasible (alongside practice essays etc etc).

I was wondering if anyone knew of any helpful resources for something like this? A big dump of SIII or SI Q's that are good representatives of the GAMSAT itself?

    Thanks!

When you register for the GAMSAT you will have the option of purchasing some practice papers from ACER.

There are other preparation courses, but I can't vouch for any of them (or for ACER's material for that matter of which I read two pages) as I have never read their material.

IMHO Des and the ACER practice papers are all you need. There are online versions of all Des' material floating around if you look hard enough.. :)

I just want to reiterate this point. Des O'Neill's question bank is second to none in terms of quality and relevance. I don't think the official website is available anymore, but a lot of people are selling their old books on ebay.

PM me, I may or may not be able to pass the questions on to you. People selling them on gumtree etc are trying to make money unethically...

@GV can PM you. There is a minimum post limit so that bots don't join and spam members with advertisements for enlargments of various parts of anatomy.

I would try Grad ready and Gold standard as I hear these come quite close to mimicking the real GAMSAT.

Not sure if you are a member of PagingDr, but I would echo the sentiments expressed by the majority on the most recent GAMSAT - Des O'Neill, as well as the older Acer prep material, does not really reflect the type of questions present in the latest test; Des is good for applying science knowledge in a problem solving context, but the March test required extremely little prerequisite science knowledge... I would focus on learning how to speed read and comprehend longer passages, as well as practice analysis of different types of graphs, rather than learn science content.

Hi KRO! Thank you for your response, it’s muh appreciated as I do not really know much about the gamsat and have only recently decided to sit it. Do you know how the 3 set gold standard package is? Or any other material which may be useful? Also, for anyone who might have studied med sci at flinders, can you tell me the recent gamsat cut off? I am not doing med sci but am doing 1st year “bachelor of medical (vision science)/masters of optometry which still falls within the med sci and the flinders subquota

hi guys, sorry to bother you all but if anyone has access to those Des O'Neil pdfs, I would really appreciate them!

The Flinders info is in the offer archive at Paging Dr. Definitely check that forum out (just make sure you have a very good look around before you start asking for help over there).
