I managed to completely screw up the original thread in a way that ended up deleting it. WHOOPS! That's what happens when UTAS catch me off guard!!

HUGE congrats (again!) to Bbbeb for being the first user to report their offer this year! I'll try and scrounge up a prize for you!

Please contribute to the information we collect so that we can continue to support students going through the admissions process in the future. As with other threads, I will collate all the gathered information into a single post at some stage.

Completing the following template is a good place to start:

Course Type: (Med or Dent)
Offer Received: (Yes or No - 'no' offers are just as useful to us, so if you feel comfortable, please share. You can also PM mods if you'd rather contribute anonymously)
University:
UMAT:
(%ile rank, raw score, section scores)
ATAR or GPA:
Special Considerations:
(rural, GWS, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, EAS, etc)
Offer Type: (CSP or BMP)
Other Information: (ie. multiple offers received, intending to reject, intending to defer)

Questions, comments, and other discussion also welcome in this thread.

I'm gonna ask my rambling questions again and hope I don't manage to delete the thread in the process like last time!!! I notice that you have received invites to interview at multiple other Unis. Have you already booked flights? Do you think you will still attend? I'm interested to know what (if any) impact early offers have on decision making.

Obviously not asking me, but I'll still answer.

I have been considering whether or not to attend my interview for Adelaide, considering the $400 return flight, which is money that can be better spent overseas the week after.
Considering the fact that both Adelaide and UTas were both similarly down the bottom of my preference list, based on their location, I would say that knowing I now have a definite spot somewhere I won't attend my Adelaide one. Before now I was torn by the mentality that "the one I don't go to could be the only one I get an offer from", but now obviously don't have to worry about this.

I will still be attending the more 'accessible' interviews (UON, WSU, Monash (assuming interview)), obviously.

I moved your original post to here, no need to keep re-posting (and especially not in the interview invites thread).

Re. your question about early offers, yes, this is not an unheard of pattern for UTAS. The first we had reported here last year was early December but that's not to say there weren't some sent earlier. And certainly in the past, offers have been released in November.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Because I can guarantee someone is about to ask this... did your offer come through yesterday/last night? Or did you get it just now?

hi!
do I just need to accept my offer before changing UAC preferences, or do I need to enrol as well? (Does CSU dent even require for you to enrol or is it automatic?)

We don't know for sure. In some cases last year acceptance took you to the enrollment page to complete. If you don't complete it doesn't record you as having accepted.

What are the instructions in the UAC offer email? If in doubt call CSU to check before changing preferences.
