Now that the Medical Bookshop is dead and long gone

Where in the world do I buy stuff at cheaper than the Coop, which seldom has all the specialist books I so desire?

Also, first non-rehashed-content/non-Medical News-created thread. ^_^

Try medical bookshops at other unis? I'm assuming Sydney uni is the bookshop that closed down?
Newcastle and UNSW both have bookshops with fairly competitive prices, one of the UWS people can probably confirm on the UWS ones. You'd pay more than a student at those unis but probably not as much as the coop.

Otherwise, bookdepository.co.uk or bookdepository.com are quite good. Free shipping, but make sure you check both to see which is better with the AUD.

Dude, it's sooo expensive without the huge student discount.

Yeah. BoT pulled the plug, allowed the lifeblood to drain such that it exsanguinated.

Yeah, that's likely the case. :(

Coop totally sucks; and, if it weren't for a membership card from twenty years ago, I wouldn't buy a thing from it. EVER.

The issue is sometimes profs. make you buy these Australian-only editions.

Maybe it adds to their bottom line. <_<

Eh... yeah...

I can get a discount on UNSW Med Soc Bookshop's stuff but I'd much rather traipse/rock up to the bookshop at uni and buy it. It's a bit out of the way, and I don't wanna be hassling nobody.

Much thanks!

This thread can probably die... :p
