whats SD this year?It does get hazier the higher you go, but when I used last year's mean + s.d. to extrapolate percentiles above 95, after comparing it with the official calculator, I was off by 10 at the most.

whats SD this year?
Or not, depending on which Monash admissions officer replies to your emailDamn, a 900 in SJT? If that’s even remotely possible then your friend is on his/her way to Monash![]()
I'll ask my friend for a screenshot of his results, and hopefully by September we'll see if he's true or notWhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa... maybe this might be an error. (content removed: seriously dotwingz i absolutely know you know better re. this rule, from LMG).
UCAT is not perfectly normally distributed. IIRC last year some scores went up +- 1% from my old calculator, but its generally not to bad of an estimation
SJT isn't normally distributed, so a S.D. figure is essentially meaningless. The SJT deciles should give you a good guide as to where you fall, that wasn't available last year.does anyone know SD for SJT?
It’s not normally distributed, so SD for SJT isn’t worth calculating.does anyone know SD for SJT?
does anyone know SD for SJT?
Also real quick, is that calculator based on the percentiles of each section sort of and then averaging it out or is it from the total cognitive score?
wait for percentile calculatorAsking for a friend: he got atar 97.2 and an UCAT score of 3050 and he's wondering if it's competitive enough? Thanks
Yo I think the summary statistics report specifically states that the mean score is 2527.

Is 2512.02 and 318.327 the inputs you used for your calculator?
"Applicants are assessed based only on their raw scores (not percentiles) and all 5 sections of the test are taken into account."Does anyone know how important Situational Judgement is as a consideration for Monash? Because I know Monash the only university that considers it and I wasn't sure if a score of 619 would significantly affect my changes. My score for the cognitive subsections was 3120 and I hope that my Situational Judgement score doesn't affect it too severely. I couldn't find any information on the Monash website on how they use the Situational Judgement subtest so any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
I individually calculated the expected standard deviation using the 9 data points we have (1st-9th decile), and here's what I got:Yup, will fix it. mb

Thanks. I couldn't find any information anywhere but it seems like its not very easy to find. It's a shame so many universities aren't more open about their admission criteria but no point stressing over it I suppose."Applicants are assessed based only on their raw scores (not percentiles) and all 5 sections of the test are taken into account."
However, there has been conflicting info about Monash's use of SJT. We also don't know how they'll use it.
