    hi,

wat would be the average salary for a physiotherapy graduate? and wat's likely to be the maximum one can earn in Australia (after gaining 5-7 yrs experience n probably specialising in cardiopulmonary etc) ??

    i researched physio
and they can start of 40-50k.
With experience 60-80 (i might be pushing it with 80, it may be optimistic).
I dunno for your own physio practice???
Best thing to do is ring national physio association
    or
send inquisitive emails to people looking for physios!

Yeah I guess if you're working in the hospital it's probably around 45-50k and you can earn round $60k in your own practice, but if you take control and are really popular, you could earn a lot upward of that.
My gf just got an offer to physio. yeah!

In QLD health its more like 52-55 k as a grad, than you can move through up with experience to around 85-95 in seniour CLINICAL roles, senior management /reasearch /manegerial roles begin at 99 and go up to 165 right at the top...

A physio with 22 years experience, I earned $65K p.a. in regional NSW (Hunter Valley) treating coal miners on three times my salary. The quacks I worked with were on much better salaries, company cars and other perks, and doing easier work, far less physically demanding. They weren't required to treat, only assess! My advice: If you need to earn a good income, give physiotherapy a miss!!! If you're a philanthropist, or married to a "significant other" who earns big bikkies, then by all means, work yourself into the ground . . .
