Tutorials and lecture help?

So I've enrolled in the four core classes for dent and I went to the JCU online student portal thingo and it gave me a timetable of when my lectures are every day; my question is: is everyone's timetable the same? why can't I choose which session of lecture I can attend? Or can I change my timetable but I've just derped out :huh:

Also, how does the registration for the tutorials work? Is there a way I can sign up for them online before spots get occupied? Or can I only do it once I get arrive at JCU and lectures commence?
