JPM: probably not, despite your GWS status (697 needed for a last minute tip up last year)
JMP: yes
UNSW: they use the best of once you’ve hit both hurdles, which you have, however, unfortunately, both your results are under last year’s cut off so you’d have to hope for a bit of a drop (it was 99.35 and 6.60 from memory).
JCU: written application dependent

Surely with 480 VR your friend's WSU Formula can't be 732.4?

He'll need 3 EAS points to boost Selection rank to 99.95 to have a chance for UNSW interview. Other than that only JCU is a possible option.

I think Edwak may have copied his own post to use as a template for his friend's post and accidentally left his own WSU weighting in there. The figure should be 622.2.

Unfortunately, I think your UCAT will rule you out of most (all?) UCAT requiring Medicine courses. Your best bets will probably be JCU and Bond as neither require UCAT, however Bond is obviously full fee and JCU relies heavily on the written application. Your ATAR automatically rules you out of contention for UNSW.

Unfortunately your UCAT is not competitive enough even with a high GPA, you would have received a Griffith Dental Offer last year with that GPA . NZ universities have different criteria normally either you have to take the first year of the Health Science path [or something similar named] or a have a completed degree. Adelaide Dental would need around 87/88th percentile last year which could increase/decrease this year, Adelaide Med your ineligible for, QLD , you cannot apply to Griffith , UQ unless you have GAMSAT. You could apply to JCU and Bond only in QLD as well as Griffith Dental but would not be competitive for the latter

Have you finished your degree?
If not, your best bet is JCU or Bond.
No I havent, I was just asking because I saw that some people got offers with similar ucat scores last year and I may get one. I just want to know which Uni's I should place higher in my preferences.

That might be the case, but UCAT is only one component of the medical admissions process. Those applicants you mentioned might have had ATARs in the high 99s to offset their less impressive UCAT scores.

As a non-standard with an uncompleted degree, in terms of medical schools requiring UCAT, you are limited to:
(i)University of New South Wales
(ii)University of Newcastle/University of England (JMP)
(iii)Western Sydney University/Charles Stuart University (JPM)
Unfortunately, with these schools apart from UNSW, GPA (once threshold is met) is not really used in the process of selecting students.

2810 places you at around 80th%ile. I doubt any student got an offer last year with 80th unless it was a non-UCAT school or they were rural, neither of which you are eligible for unfortunately, except JCU & Bond as mentioned.

As a non-standard applicant with an incomplete degree you automatically reduce the number of universities you are eligible for.
JCU Med and Dent: your GPA is competitive, but it depends greatly on your written application
UQ Dent: Your UCAT won’t be competitive
Griffith Dent: first year of using UCAT so requirement is unknown
Bond Med: you could apply but it depends on how much uni you’ve done as they may still use your ATAR which will drag your competitiveness down.
UNSW Med: your ATAR is below the 96.00 cut off for eligibility
JMP: requires ~93rd%ile UCAT
JPM: requires ~700 for algorithm score as GWS applicant
CSU Dent: Your UCAT won’t be competitive
LaTrobe Dent: Your UCAT won’t be competitive
Adelaide Dent: ~87th%ile UCAT needed

ETA: your GPA is excellent and I’d encourage you to focus on this for GAMSAT entry in the future or non-standard entry applications next year. Great work!
