I'm so sorry to say that you don't have a chance for JMP. This is purely because your S2 is sadly one single point under the cut off of 50 for all sections.

Might have a chance for UWS though it's unlikely.

No doubt you'd make the JMP cut offs next year if you wanted to try again. Congrats on your score, I'm so sorry for how unfortunate the situation is for you!

Actually as a Tas school leaver I think you may have a chance. Wait for LMG! To confirm

Unfortunately, JMP requires a 50 in all sections as a threshold. You came extremely close to this and missed out marginally. Don't lose hope just yet though, you've done well in your overall percentile :) !

Im sorry to say that the UMAT percentile will be too low to consider any university in NSW. With your ATAR expectations, you definitely have a chance at Griffith med if you are open to the option of moving interstate. Good luck !

Thanks for the reply, B2. Does this means I should wipe UNSW off my UAC app. completely, and put Griffith/other courses there instead?

Question/s: how are my chances for WSU and UNSW? I know JMP is out which is sad because I had an interview there last year and would have loved another opportunity. In particular what GPA would I need for UNSW given my ATAR was around 98?

Also I knew my section 3 was going to stuff everything up!! screw you section 3!!!

Do I have any chance of an interview at JMP, I know their section one cutoff is around 60, hoping I could scrape an interview

If you are open to the idea of moving interstate, you should fill out a separate application form from QTAC( Queensland). This will allow you to put down Griffith, JCU and Bond as preferences. All three of these universities do not include UMAT as part of their selection processes.

UQ Med usually cuts off around 180 overall score but you never know year to year so don't lose hope. Newcastle medicine requires a 50 in all sections, you came extremely close ! You may have to look at some of the universities which don't consider UMAT such as Griffith, JCU and Bond as your ATAR is quite strong.Good luck !

Definitely a chance for UTAS as a Tassie school leaver. That's an awesome ATAR, best of luck!

Definitely a good chance for WSU interview. UNSW depends on your GPA/ATAR.

CONGRATULATIONS! Given your ATAR, you'll definitely get a UNSW interview, which, IIRC is what you're after.

Unfortunately, as a non-rural student, you won't be considered for JMP (eta: you'd have needed a S1 score of 60+ for JMP). Your GWS status will help you with UWS.
