No, you can apply to as many of the unis as you want within the number of preferences you have. For e.g. UAC only allows you to have 9 preferences, QTAC only allows you to have 6. Depends on the tertiary admissions centre on each state.

So what your saying is that I can apply to 9 uni's within NSW via UAC as well as apply to 6 other uni's within Queensland via QTAC?
