There's a fair few international students. I got my info for our intake from the 1st year coordinator and anatomy lecturer, so take that as you will.

    Hi there!
Where did you apply to get dental volunteering abroad? (Congrats, and hope it's an awesome/fulfilling time :) )

Oh yes super interested! I guess I can't go this summer (unexpectedly landed a research scholarship), but I'd so love to be able to do volunteer abroad :). I'm excited for you hahaha.

    Hey JordossM!

Would you happen to know the lowest GPA for an offer in Dentistry at JCU? I current have a GPA of 6.714, what do you think my chances are?

JCU is primarily based on your written application, and eventual interview. I'm sure a GPA of 6.714 puts you in good standing, as the higher the GPA is probably better, but you'll have to ask JCU whether they'll only take your Master's GPA, and not also include the GPA of your undergraduate degree, jiaxing .

As indicated by my OP 4, JCU is heavily application based. Your high GPA does put you in good standing, if you've got a high quality application you're a shoe-in. :)

Yep! Try not to stress yourself to death over offers - I know I did and it ruined the holidays a little. I know a few friends that are OP 6 and I'm sure there's more who I haven't spoken to :)

Before you got official offer from QTAC, did you get a courtesy call or email or letter from JCU that informed you a place offer for dentistry?

I did not. I talked to others and that's pretty much an exclusively med thing to receive.

Try to keep yourself busy this weekend! I know how terribly stressing offers were, the best thing to do was to keep my mind off of it and just stay busy! Good luck!

Are you asking for JCU medicine or dentistry? Courtesy calls are exclusively a med thing, they aren't done for dent.

Hope this helps. I enrolled straight through JCU as my QTAC didn't have an offer on it.
