So I’m just about to go into my first year of med, and while of course I’m going to be working as hard as possible to get my max potential in terms of marks, but I was wondering will someone who graduates by just passing will have a harder time specialising down the road as someone who graduated with a GPA >6?

Putting aside underlying personal ability/motivation etc, no.
