Specialty Training: Neurosurgery Questions and Discussion

Would a neuroscience honours in bsc before MD help me be more competitive? If so would it even help by much?
Most training pathways have the requirements listed and the points awarded to various achievements (research, conference presentations etc). Check what the specifics are for neurosurg.

I guess if your BSc has given you research connections then maybe ever so slightly. However research for specialty programs typically need to be very relevant (aka just having a name on a paper won't take you far, unless its specifically neurosurgery related), and there is plenty of opportunity to get actual relevant research output once your a doctor.

So in summary, not really.

Hey there, talking about neurosurgery, Adelaide has a few networks and hospitals known for their neurosurgery specialties. It can be a bit subjective, and the "best" network might depend on specific factors like your needs or preferences.
