ATAR required for Adelaide?

Hey guys, I'm in quite a predicament here.
A couple months ago, I made the decision to take year 12 over two years. I stopped trying in a few of my subjects as I would be redo-ing them the year after. But after receiving my results, I realised I might have the slightest chance of getting into dentistry at Adelaide.

Is ATAR weighted greatly in the Uadel? What would be the minimum considering a good interview and a UMAT of 89%ile?

If I do attempt to catch up in these subjects I'd be looking at an ATAR of around 80-90.

90+ is minimum, but anything over 95 is competitive. Remember, for Dentistry you get bonus points for specialist Maths, LOTE and Rural/Fairway.

With that UMAT score it is very likely you will be selected for an interview (As interviews are given only on the basis of UMAT score). Therefore if you achieve the cut-off of 90, and do a good interview, you should be fine.

Adelaide Dentistry weightings: (Highest to lowest)

1. Interview (greatest weighting)
2. UMAT
3. ATAR/TER/OP

They may have been some time ago, but currently UMAT has a greater weighting than ATAR. This is what I was told by a Dent school lecturer, I assume they are correct

My understanding is that ATAR only comes into play to further differentiate individuals after the interviews. After the interviews everyone is ranked according to their interview score and subsequently brackets of 20% are created. So, the top 20%, then the second 20% (20-40) and so on. Within each bracket, people are then ranked on their ATAR if it is above 90.

That sounds right, i think UMAT score comes before ATAR, and if two people have the same interview and UMAT score, they are further ranked with their ATAR.
