Other Information: While I write this with a heavy heart, I do realise that maybe this wasn't my time yet. I've spent the last few weeks lamenting on this however, my parents were still very supportive
. That being said, my marks were actually really high for a Gateway Student, so there is no other excuse for the lack of an offer other than the fact I flopped the interview. (Which I know did, because of a LOT of unfortunate events leading up to it!). I felt stressed going into the interview, on top of the fact I worried about the UNSW interview 'threshold'. I think worrying about it led me to really underperform! However, I am happy that this offer could go to another student who potentially could be in a lot worse situation than I am because I can still re-apply as a Non-standard. I won't say this was a waste though. For just one year on MSO, I've had the opportunity to meet many amazing friends whom I hope to hold onto as I continue to aspire for Medicine. I got really upset when I didn't get an offer, but I've picked myself up and ready to push forward!
Let my experience me a reminder of how critical interviews can be and the importance of resilience!
