Bond Bond Medicine: General Discussion

Hi all. I'm thinking they must use a weighted GPA with the ATAR considered too. Can I ask what the ATAR was for each of those undergrad applicants who received a testing invite was. My application is not eligible (spoken with QTAC) andand was 5.7 and had receivedrconfirmation that everything has been submitted properly and on time through the Bond liaison at QTAC. The only thing I can think of is that year twelve results are included in the academic hurdle...

to those who have sat the psychometric test last year I have two questions:

did the system allow you to resubmit your results from last year? And if not, does this year's Personality component use a (True/False) scale or (Strongly Disagree-Strongly Agree) scale.
I selected for using my previous results but it still brought me to redo the assessment. I didn’t proceed into the test after that.

Is anyone who has attempted this test before trying to use their previous results again this year? I'm asking because Bond tells me that I can reuse my results but Revelian insists Bond has not authorised this.

I will be sitting the first component tonight, so I'll update you as to whether we can submit the same results or whether we need to re-sit it.

Looks like I didn't get one and I'm regretting putting my graduate diploma results in since they weren't amazing but my Bachelor's was 5.957/7 which it looks like would've made the cut :(((

according to bond website it says we should take it between 9am 12th feb and 9pm 13th feb. So you might wanna double check on that before you start it tonight

I call the testing institution and they said we can start as soon as we receive the email. They just gave us extra half of a day

Seems like they use our weighted GPA, and GPAs is general are only deduced after doing tertiary studies. From this perspective, it doesn't make sense to scrutinise the ATAR of such applicants. If my ATAR was considered I wouldn't stand a chance of getting an invite.

I just read it and I dont think you have to respond to say you are taking it... I think you just take it with in the by Feb 13
guys did you intrepet it the same way?

Yeah I agree.

Had you completed a full degree for that gpa as well? that's so bizarre that they used ATAR as well as a complete degree though?

Hey guys,

Just contacted the test company and they said that if your connect drops out, you can simply log back in as its an untimed assessment.

So, you can do half of one test today and half tomorrow?

Even though it's untimed, it's a good idea to do it within a reasonable time, as the company knows how long u took to take the test. If u take too long it might make bond get sus about your test lol

But then why dont they make it a timed test? If they would look at our times anyway.

Revelian told me that you have to finish a test once you start it.

Guys Just want to post a PSA here. Your ATAR and or GPA DOES NOT MATTER from this stage onwards. The only thing that gets you an interview is a decent performance in the test.

No just my first year for the gpa calculation
I was just thinking that if people who were applying to Bond next year as undergrad but were relying on having done better in their first year of uni and having a good GPA were made aware that year twelve results still affected it might give them some more realistic expectations. I guess it would help me understand too. If anyone in the group was comfortable sharing their GPA (and I guess however many years of study) and year 12 mark it would be great. Ta

The longer you take to answer a question, the more suspicious it will seem. So I'd say do the questions as quick as you can, not relying on the untimed nature of the tests, if especially the company will assess how long it takes you to answer each question.

Sure. But a friend of mine took almost three hours to complete as he was doing research on this test...but got in. So timing is not a consideration for selection...but take this with a pinch of salt.

Hey Isnt it two tests?

  1. A measurement of general personality focusing on assessing candidates’ ability to cope with stress and pressure, planning tasks, ability to work with others etc. This test is not timed and includes 170 forced choice test questions
  2. A measurement of your emotional intelligence focusing on assessing candidates’ ability to identify emotions, facilitate thought, understanding emotions and managing emotions. This test includes 141 forced choice test questions.
