Griffith Griffith Medicine: [Gold Coast] Foundation Year Health Overview and Q&A

Received via PM, answering here:

Every person I've known to jump ship to a different uni did so because they wanted to go back home. I've only heard of Griffith provisional entry students going to USYD and UniMelb for undergrad and these were all people who were from Sydney or Melbourne.

In-person labs will be.... in person ;) You'll learn more effectively (particularly anatomy) in-person and I'd strongly recommend selecting the in-person option where possible. It will make your life easier all round when it comes to understanding of content and once you've reached the MD. The online version is being offered but I expect it will mainly be taken up by those located interstate or overseas.
Thanks for your response.
Just to clarify, so do some people go back to USYD and UniMelb to do an undergrad course (even though they've done a bachelors already)?

No, they sit GAMSAT and gain graduate entry positions in the MD programs.

I think the OP was confused (as was/am I) by your mention of undergrad in your first reply. Is that a typo? Or have we misunderstood?

I have zero explanation for that and definitely meant grad entry.... it's way too early in the year for my brain to fail me! I'll correct that now, sorry Sheepish_cow 😬

No, there really is no need to be sorry. I thought that was the case, but I was just checking.
Do. you know by any chance when scholarships are given at Griffith?

It varies by scholarship, I don’t have more info than what’s on the website sorry!
