Interview Invites and Dates 2019-20

Hi Guys
I was just wondering about the interviews for Dentistry and Medicine
Will they be on different dates or same interview
I am hoping for UWA and have applied for both
thank you
From the UWA website:
Applicants who qualify for an interview for both medicine and dentistry will be interviewed based on their higher preference. The results from that interview will then be used for other eligible courses.

Quick question for JCU's interviews, if you don't manage to make it to the first round can you still be invited to second round? Also, are those rounds split between interstate/local QLD or is it solely based on quality of application + predicted atar?

JCU doesn't differentiate local/interstate. Large majority of invites are for the first round, based on predicted ATAR or a substantial GPA before year-end. Second round invites are based on actual ATAR (if better than predicted) and year-end GPA.

does anyone know whether we book our own date or are allocated dates for dent interviews at csu/adelaide/la trobe. also when are adelaide dent interviews usually?

You choose the date and time of your interview at Adelaide - there are multiple slots available over two weeks from memory (but they fill up so make sure you get in quick). The dent interviews are held at the same location as the med interviews - the AHMS (Adelaide Health and Medical Sciences Building).

Sorry, read that as where and not when. They are held from late Nov to early Dec (usually last wk of Nov and first wk of Dec from memory).

CSU interviews will be held 18th - 22nd of November. They've also confirmed that they won't be using SJT, just the total score from the first 4 sections A1

Just wondering, what is the date for the Sydney University medicine (and dental if possible) interview? I can't seem to find any information about that.

after offering interviews, are the places offered solely based on performance of interview or a combination of actual atar and performance (with predicted atar just used to offer first round interviews?)

That depends on the university.

Have a look in the Weighting columns in this table > [Undergrad] - (2019 Updated) Med schools Selection Criteria Y12s & Non-standards

It shows either 100% interview in the Place Offer column or various combinations. For place offers if ATAR is involved it's always actual (although in some cases like UTas couple years ago the school can make an early conditional offer subject to actual ATAR meeting the threshold).

A1 with the MD course in UWA it actually stands for Doctor of Medicine in accordance with their website?

Yes it does but the point is it's a Masters not a Doctorate degree (unlike the previous traditional MD). So more apt to be translated as Master of "Doctoring".

Note I carefully put it as Useless info ;)
