cheers ben, might do that sometime soon. hope you're enjoying your o-week!

Good work on the information regarding the tutorials for people who are not staying at halls. They sound very useful, I will certainly be signing up. cheers.

Didn't thoroughly enjoy the essay part, not having written one for two odd years. Not sure it made 200 words to be honest.

keep in mind that even if u fully fail the essay (which just wont happen as they give grades on your structure so as long as you have intro, body, and conc your good) you can still pass the test if you do really well in the other 2 parts as you only need 60% to pass.

I ran out of time so my essay ends mid-sentence!
I did love the question where they spelt out etiquette and then asked you to spell it...

The eng diagnostic test was ridiculously easy, and that's coming from a guy who only just got enough lvl 2 english credits for UE. My essay was complete nonsense though but so long as I pass I don't really care

I ran outta time for the essay too.......Has anyone heard of someone failing? I'm freaking out!

I doubt you'll fail, they just need to know if you'll struggle with the english used during the course - most people seemed to run out of time for the essay at the end anyway, my conclusion was vaguely similar to "In conclusion, raise the drinking age.", lol.

Same lol. I was in the middle of writing a sentence after "In conclusion" about raising the age and then the guy said "time is up" so I just wrote 2 random words to finish it lol. I don't even remember what I wrote haha

I know some people who failed the test. They got offered a resit, which they passed. The vast majority of people I know passed the test first time, including many who had drunk far too much the night before to be in a fit condition to sit a test that day!

I was definitely in this category.

I know far to many people who are freaking out about this test haha, this is the least of our worries to be honest. Whats going to happen in exam time with the big 3 hour chem 191 lurking just around the corner :)

Well I guess one of the freakout factors is the fact that we haven't learned, studied and prepared for it - whereas we would have for the finals.

On a side note, timetables seem to be on PIMS now (or mine is anyway).

Prepare or not, A LOT more lies on the chem test than some english diagnostic test that you have the chance of repeating.

Ugh, i dont like my time table one bit. Huge gaps every day between morning and afternoon lectures.

[sarcasm]Yuss...[/sarcasm]. Earliest start is 11am for me where I have a Cels then Physics lecture - everyday apart from Wednesday... Looking forward to the Cels lab on Mondays. :P

Mine's pretty too.
