Cheers. Doubt I can get that though. Maybe with a bit of luck?Did you look at the collated data threads? There are UTAS offers there. For 2022 entry it looks like interstate non-rurals needed a 99.95 ATAR (or equivalent).

I'm not a pro but 93 and rural you're pretty much all setI'm a rural NSW student with a 3060 UCAT (93rd percentile), and an ATAR of hopefully 95+ (based roughly off my trial results). What universities would I likely have a chance of an interview at?
I'm currently thinking of applying to the JPM, JMP, UNSW, Monash and UQ (and realistically anywhere else), but I'd love to hear everyone else's opinions, just so I can get a feel for what I have a good chance at.
Thanks in advance!
A1 Thank you so much for your replay! so these 8 units are your best 8 of two years 16 units?96%ile should be more than enough for a JMP interview.
For UNSW it depends on the composition of her 85 WAM. Example if it's 2x 94 marks + 6x 82 marks, GPA 6.25 could miss the cut. Otoh if it's 6x 88 marks + 2x 76 marks, GPA 6.75 / 96%ile is well placed for an interview. Best of luck.
I was just using an example of 1 year 8 units, in that [2x94 + 6x82] and [6x88 + 2x76] both have the same 85 WAM but one 6.25 GPA one 6.75 GPA (and note it's the GPA that counts).A1 Thank you so much for your replay! so these 8 units are your best 8 of two years 16 units?
I mean two uni years, right? thanks
UWA have a Broadway category with relatively lower requirements. I believe this is only available to eligible WA locals, but am not completely on top of UWA admissions.Does UWA preference local applicants similar to Monash or is it the same for both interstate and local? It's hard to say anything from the 2021 offer data but I was wondering if anyone had any insights?
Also... I know this is probably been asked alot but I'm currently sitting on a 3040 (92nd) with a 99.60 (which apparently goes up to 99.85 due to EAS according to Monash's EAS calculator), do I have any chance at any university in Australia for interviews/offers?
UWA interview cutoffs are higher for interstates. Consolation is they interview relatively few interstates so if you get one you have higher chances of getting a place offer. Last year a NSW guy got 2 NSW invites and UWA + Curtin, ended up no NSW offer and got both WA offers.Does UWA preference local applicants similar to Monash or is it the same for both interstate and local?
Monash interview yes if you're Vic local.Also... 94%ile was the cutoff for JMP interview last year so yes if it stays the same.I am an NSW student and scored in the 94%ile (with a Cognitive Score of 3080). Is there a chance that I get an interview from any NSW universities (particularly JMP)?
Thank you
AI Thank you so much for your patience and explanation ! Enjoy your rest of day!I was just using an example of 1 year 8 units, in that [2x94 + 6x82] and [6x88 + 2x76] both have the same 85 WAM but one 6.25 GPA one 6.75 GPA (and note it's the GPA that counts).
GPA is simply the sum of the individual units' grade points (85+=7, 75-84=6 etc) divided by the number of units. Ask your daughter to calculate this with 8 units if she's in 1st year, 16 units if 2nd year.
For UNSW Med, your ATAR is competitive but your WAM doesn't provide much information. You've certainly met the minimum 70 WAM requirement, but if you could specify the HD's and D's you got in each subject, it provides a better indication of what your rank would be like. Your UCAT for UNSW Med is on the lower end, and there is a chance you could get an interview offer, but last year, some applicants were rejected even with quite a high UCAT (95th percentile) and academic rank. So for UNSW Med it is a bit more confusing, but who knows honestly, just apply.I'm currently 1st yr uni student (non-standard applicant) in VIC and got 84.5WAM, ATAR99.75 and UCAT 3030 (92nd percentile). Applying to UNSW, JMP (med) and UAdel (dent), I was wondering what are my chances for an interview? Thanks so much in advance ^^, I'm aiming for UAdel dent atm.
Let me put my maths cap back on.What is your estimates as to how the WSU interview cutoff will be now that the summary statistics are out?
Can’t answer this without knowing ATAR. If ATAR below required cut off, chance = 0.Hi friends : If Ucat sits on 96% Gpa around 6.5. How much chance to get UNSW interview invitation? Thank you so much!
Historically GPA ~6.5 & 96%ile were enough to get UNSW interview. However last year it seems (regardless of how high UCAT) UNSW arbitrarily cut off invites at ATAR 99.50, which is what we believe GPA 6.5 converts to. So to avoid this trap your daughter should have GPA 6.5+.Hi friends : If Ucat sits on 96% Gpa around 6.5. How much chance to get UNSW interview invitation? Thank you so much!
