Where am I eligible with my UCAT 2025 percentile?

Hi everyone,

I recently got my UCAT ANZ results and wanted to get some advice on my chances across different unis.

Stats:
  • ATAR (predicted): 99.5
  • UCAT: 2260 (VR 820, DM 660, QR 780)
  • Percentile (2025): 86th (scored better than 86% of candidates)
  • EAS: Eligible for Monash, UNSW, WSU, UND, CQU, La Trobe, and others
  • Location: Currently rural, but don’t qualify as a “rural entry” applicant (not 5+ years)
  • Preferences: Monash is my top choice, but I’ve applied widely (all states except QLD due to QTAC limits).
I know 2260 isn’t as competitive as some of the top-end UCAT scores, but I’m wondering:
  • Do I still have a realistic chance at Monash with my EAS eligibility ?
  • Which other universities should I be prioritising given my profile?
  • Are there unis that tend to be more percentile/ATAR friendly where I’d stand a stronger chance?
Any insights would be hugely appreciated

Thanks so much!
If my results are released on the 17th can I be offered a unsw interview if my adjusted atar is a 99.95 on the 18th ?

___________
A1 replies: UAC ATAR will be released on 18th Dec the same date UNSW sends out interview invites. So they must have ATAR results couple days in advance from UAC but I'm not sure if the other TACs do that.
Whether you get an invite on 18th Dec or 2nd round 15th Jan depends whether your 99.95+86%ile combo is high enough. We don't know at this stage.

I’m in TAS so idk if my results will be provided by then because I might have to travel so was just trying to find out

Hi A1,
I am a VIC non-rural student with a UCAT of 94%, Casper Band 4, and an ATAR of 99.6+. Do I have any chance of getting into Curtin Med?

___________
A1 replies: I'm not familiar with scores for Curtin but I feel 99.6 94%ile Casper 4 has very good prospects.
Btw Vic local with your ATAR UCAT has excellent chances for Monash, why would you be looking to Curtin?

You should get an invite. Btw Curtin interview for interstate applicants is in late January and is done online so by then you might have gotten other offers eg. Monash

Do unis send out rejection emails for interviews? Haven't gotten an invite for an interview for griffith so wondering if it hasn't come out today is there still a chance I may receive one or no?

is griffith based on interview only or ucat still considered?
The Griffith dent application FAQ says “Griffith University will combine your UCAT ANZ score (20%) + your GUDAP interview score (40%) plus your GPA/ATAR (40%) to calculate your admission rank. Offers of places are then made in descending order of admission rank to eligible applicants.”

Thank you for the reply.

Monash DRL: UCAT 2050 (66%)
Thanks for the news. I'm glad it matches my saying 60ish %ile for rural applicants

The Monash website also gives an interesting piece of info - 192 interview spots for the UCAT-based December round for Vic non-DRL.

Monash usually interviews 384 Vic non-DRL (this odd number being 4 MMI circuits of 8 x 4 sessions a day x 3 days).
So Monash is splitting half/half : 192 UCAT-based December + 192 ATAR+UCAT January.
(Interstate is another round later).

anyone heard back from Notre damn yet? They said early Oct for interview invites but it's almost mid Oct now :)
Someone just posted in the invites 2026 thread that they got their email a couple of hours ago. Their UCAT/ATAR are insane though.

Is the Notre Dame Med cutoff at 3205+ (99.5th percentile) a bad premonition for the UCAT cutoffs of all the other med schools? Notre has gone from 94% last year to 99.5% this year. I have heard that half of the available places are reserved for rural and indigenous so that could be a potential factor but that is still a extremely large jump. I'm now feeling that I won't get a med interview at any university even with a 96% UCAT. Does anyone else feel the cutoffs for other unis are going to jump and are worried?
