Pre-UCAT Discussion 2020

But like I said, I’ve never sat UCAT so I have no idea how the comparison holds.

I saw several cases on MSO of students who "failed" multiple times with UMAT, the year it changed to UCAT they got in - Keeza, Smelly Boy, Lillysace, Maniacfish... to name a few. So my theory is those not-so-good with UMAT do better with UCAT and vice versa, those good with UMAT would be terrible with UCAT.

I would be one of the latter haha.

Honestly, SAME! Haha! Reading through the sub-scale threads and all the example questions, yep, UMAT was definitely the test for me, so that's good to know it was a trend you observed more widely.

And given this, EnK, I probably can't help you much with UCAT questions, only psychology ones :D

Is there a list of all ucat resources or where to start to study for ucat?

No because a lot of the time these resources are paid for, the discussion of which is banned from MSO - so please don't say a company's name or try and hint at their name with clues and vice versa.

My 2 cents - just stay away from discussing them since most comments will highly likely be edited or deleted.

Some very general advice would be to leave the official ucat practice question banks and mock exams (found here) until the few weeks leading up to your exam.

For now, a quick google search of 'ucat practice questions' or 'free ucat practice questions' should bring up a bunch of results. Take advantage of the resources you can get for free to get a feel for the questions, and if you later decide a paid resource would be beneficial there are plenty of those options too
