My kid chose the BioMed at first, but she changed to bachelor of Science. GEMSAS does not care what degree you studied and the science degree offers more flexibility of choosing subjects. Techncially achieving 75 WAM can be more difficult in bioMed than in bachelor of science because of inflexibility of the BioMed course.Hello do u mind me asking what degree your child did? I’m planning to do biomed but I’ve heard some things about the course being hard but 75 wam in this should be achievable?
Don't forget UniMelb requires a bachelor's degree so the cost is not 440K. It costs more and 3 years of time.FFP cost is only just less than Bond :0
$440K vs Bond $470K
The chancellor's students don't need to achieve 70. I think they need to work hard to get a special scholarship to cover the living cost.Chancellors: 99.90+, 70+ WAM *every semester*, pass MMI in 3rd year for CSP MD, 3-year undergrad HECS waived + $10k/year (i think) undergrad scholarship.
So the Uni is a great choice for someone who can't get support from their parents.
Even if they failed to get 70 WAM, they can enter the MD provided that they pass the MMI.
