No, you get an offer to the highest preference you're eligible for. Which for you was bonded, hence even jf you were eligible for unbonded you woulda got bonded. That's why people say to always put unbonded first, putting bonded first doesn't improve your chances
That's how I imagine it has gone anyway.

Congrats on the offer nonetheless Sushi! Perhaps see if you can find a way to now change your preferences so you have a chance to be upgraded to unbonded if people end up rejecting their offers.

just curious, did u get email correspondence with flinders throughout the year? i applied to flinders with 99.95 atar and 97 umat but i didnt get an offer and also never got any emails from them, so i was wondering if my application got messed up?

yeah they emailed me like 500 times! for change of preferences and also before offers came out! i think you should call them up or check your application because you should definitely have gotten an offer with those scores!

I know this sounds stupid, but have you checked your junk email? My SATAC offer (which was not very successful i.e. got offered advanced health sciences) in my junk email folder haha... If not I'd be giving SATAC or Flinders because those scores are amazing

That's weird... last year I was rejected by Flinders but I still got a ton of emails from them before (and I think after too) offers :/

Oh I see... Well to be honest, the only emails I got were about health sciences in general and nothing really about medicine, apart from notifying me they'll accept my rural status... Maybe you'll have better luck second round?

Edit: but yeah, I had virtually no emails as well

yea im from nz, and maybe my conversion of cie to atar is incorrect, but regardless they would contact me to tell me just general dates and stuff right?
