UCAT percentile rank: 68th percentile
VR: 760
DM: 710
QR: 600
AR: 620
Total: 2690
SJ: 638
JPM/WSU formula (58%VR + 12%DM + 12%QR + 18%AR): 709.6
Predicted/Actual ATAR/GPA: I'm guessing anywhere from 89-93
Rural: Yes, RA 3
State: NSW
Other Special Considerations: N/A
Pretty surprised that I got all these interviews tbh, I legit crammed for UCAT in the four days before my test and it wasn't even good cramming. Didn't do a full mock exam, no SJ subtest mocks, not a single question for QR (which is probs why I got 600 lel) and only did four VR, two DM and one AR subtest mock. Unis must be real desperate for rural doctors if they're offering interview places to scores as low as mine
LMG adds: Australia is pretty desperate for doctors to practice in rural areas (a different thing to medical students from rural areas). Your UCAT score is not unusual for rural entry pathways and similar scores (and lower scores) have been successful for interviews for as long as I’ve been here at MSO/following entry requirements. I’m not surprised at all.
ETA: keep in mind an ATAR of 89 will rule you ineligible for WSU and JMP (and UTAS and possibly others). Also Monash as per jintei.
