Admissions Centres Questions and Discussion

Hi.
In SATAC, after you've submitted, it asks you for a statutory declaration if it's required for your course/degree so I was wondering if it was required for UAdel Med (bonded and unbonded), Flinders Uni Doctor of Medicine, Bachelor of Medical Science at Flinders, Bachelor of Health and Medical Sciences at UAdel or Bachelor of Health Sciences- Health Sciences at Flinders Uni?

Says im not currently eligible for consideration. What does this mean? Should I be worried?

I had the same issue and it's nothing really to worry about, I am not sure why but someone told me on MSO :)

Haha, yep, that sounds about right. Every single year we go through the same issues with the TACs using inconsistent and misleading codes, and every single year it’s not a problem. Obviously we encourage people to follow up if they are worried, or if it’s much closer to offer time* but, at this stage, it is very rarely an issue.

* and even then it’s very rarely an issue! My UAC code for JMP said I wasn’t eligible the entire time through interviews and offers, yet I got a CSP :D

Is there some sort of separate application I need to do for flinders? Im not too sure why im getting this notification....

If Flinders were to send out interview invites next month like other schools I would check and have it sorted out by mid Oct. But since no interviews at Flinders you can leave it until late Oct when Adelaide sends invites. By then the Awaitings may have changed and if the Not eligible stays the same it's easier to quiz SATAC what's the problem.

I noted what LMG! wrote but I would not leave a Not eligible until too late, as who knows there may be an actual problem that needs to be sorted.

Hi. I'm not sure if this is a dumb question but when it asks for 'school studies' in the admission platforms, is it correct for me to note down Year 11 and Year 12? Because I completed VCE subjects last year as well as the ones I'm doing this year.

If you did a 3/4 subject in Year 11, I'm pretty sure you have to put down 2019 and 2020 because that's what my careers counsellor told me to do as I completed VCE subjects in both 2019 and 2020. I assume it would be the same for you.

You fill out a statutory declaration for SATAC if you are rural and/or are living in the NT (not sure about the NT one, you might want to double check that). For med courses it allows you to be considered for the rural quotas. If you are rural and applying to any course in SA with a rural quota (check the uni's websites, but this includes UAdel med and Flinders Med) you should submit a statutory declaration.

REPOST
I am aware that only some unis have two different course codes for CSP and BMP. I am slightly paranoid that I may have missed it for some uni and wanted to confirm with you guys here. So the unis that do have 2 different codes (for what I've gathered) are :
Monash
UQ
Adelaide
Are there any others that I'm missing?

Hi guys.
On SATAC, they ask you about 'personal competencies' and I tried searching online but I'm still a bit confused about what it is. Does anyone know what it is? Does anyone know if it is required for Medicine?
Hey people, I don't think this has been answered yet... anyone have any idea about this cause I would like to know as well?
