Bond Bond Medicine: General Discussion

Hey legend, is there any chance you could please let me know what the email address was, because I'm in the exact same situation and unsure who I should be contacting.
Hey! Sorry I didn't get a notification. I just emailed student housing which is [email protected]

They told me to come up 2 weeks before orientation to self-isolate. But who knows with the current events :/

Hey guys do you think that since next sem might be online, I can just stay home for next sem. There is no point paying for uni accommodation when I can learn from home.

I suggest you all contact the Bond faculty for confirmation that it will indeed be running all online before making any important decisions regarding accommodation. It would only be speculation if anyone else answered.

Hey guys, thought I'd share this one in the forum just in case anyone hasn't seen it yet. This was posted and updated on the website as of this morning the 30th of March. I would recommend just waiting to hear from Bond directly before making any decisions regarding travel and housing for the upcoming semester. Keen to see all you legends as soon as possible!

Anyone who arrives in Queensland (via air, sea, rail or road) from another State or Territory from 26 March 2020 must self-quarantine for 14 days, unless they are an “exempt person”. Even if a person is an exempt person, they must self-quarantine if they have travelled in the last 14 days to particular areas of Australia, which will be decided by the Chief Health Officer and published on the Queensland Health website.

PLEASE CHECK THE LINK.

Hey, where did you find this? Can't seem to locate it

Hey everyone, just wanted to get your thoughts on the new border restrictions as of this morning, Friday the 3rd. One screenshot is from Bond and the other from the QLD government. I applied for an entry pass on the basis of making QLD my new place of permanent residence and received it by email, but I'm just considering whether or not it's worth taking the risk of hopping on a flight, or just staying home and completing this upcoming semester online. What is everyone else's plan? Stay home and do online or try and cross?

I also applied for that boarding pass on the same grounds. My original intentions were to drive interstate two weeks before O week and self quarantine, but I guess if the semester is online, there really is no point for us interstate students to be there. It'll save us alot of money and stress that's for sure. I'm still waiting on a definite answer from Bond that all learning will be conducted online. If then, I won't drive up and stay home for the semester.

Has anyone called up Bond and got an insight into what is actually happening?

How's everyone going with compliance?
I haven't done my first aid and CPR training yet and I don't think I can go and do the course anymore because of the social distancing, isolation and restrictions - is this going to be a problem?

Nope, I called and they said they'll call back but haven't yet - it's been 2 days.
