Bond Bond Medicine: Psychometric Test

Should I reapply to Bond again this year given that I have done the psychometric test in 2023 and failed to secure an interview invite? I won’t be eligible to sit for another test this year. Is it safe to say that I have no/low chance to getting an interview invite even if I do reapply? Would placing Bond as first preference in QTAC means I would not be getting any more further offers for lower preferences courses for subsequent dates?

Hi all, I’m currently a second yr biomed student at bond and am hoping to get into med through lateral entry. However I wasn’t able to secure an interview during the beginning of the my first year. I was just wondering if bond allows u to do the psychometric again even though it hasn’t been the full 2 years at the through the lateral process or will they still use my old psychometric score. I had talked to a few students and bond staff about this and they said bond allowed u to do this but now I was reading the page on lateral and it said only people before oct 2022 were allowed too. Thanks

I am planning to sit the psychometric if I get an offer next year and I heard that it has changed and become time limited and has proctored? Can someone please confirm if this is the case and if so, how much time do we get to answer the questions? Thanks.

From when I did it till this year, I always remembered it being proctored and being around 1.5 hrs. Usually, people finish early from what I've heard.

Hey guys I heard that the psychometric scores lasts for 2 years? Does that mean if I sat it last year, I won’t be able to sit it this year? thanks

I believe that has been the case in the past, yes. There is definitely more chat about it in this thread if you have a read through or use the search function.

Hi all, I am planning on applying to Bond this year. After reading MSO with UCAT cut offs being so high, am I right in assuming that there will be more applicants considering applying to Bond than previously?

My ATAR is a 99.35 and UCAT I wasn't prepared and did poorly. I had originally thought that I would take a gap year resit the UCAT and potentially maybe even a subject or two to bump up my ATAR. My concern is that English is a very tough subject for me and with AR section out of UCAT.. I am not certain that even if I study like crazy that I will be anywhere near above a cut off esp when there is a lot more focus will be on the VR section.

Given that there may be more applicants in a similar situation as myself, I assuming there may be more applications to Bond. (banned content removed).

Thank you

The UCAT scores have risen higher but the number of med places are more/less the same.
So it should be neutral, not resulting in more Bond applicants.
