Yes I know, just that this (receiving BMP information email) seems another thing that could check whether it is BMP or not since the email from UNE itself did not specifiy, so I just wanna see whether you guys are in the same situation of mine (UAC BMP & UNE CSP but no BMP infomation email - means BMP) to make sure that they did not make a mistake

The BMP documentation is typically sent in orientation week or even well into semester one. This is because some people with BMP offers may be upgraded to CSP offers as people decline previously accepted offers in favour of new offers. Not having received the paperwork yet is fairly common from asking previous recipients.

That said, I still think knowing whether your current offer is BMP or straight CSP is important in case you’re deciding between multiple offers, so I’d definitely recommend you clarify on Monday if you’re still unsure.

By saying this, just curious that for people being upgraded, for say if they previously accepted a BMP offer within the timeframe (usually 7 days), then later on could they still receive the upgraded CSP offer for JMP?

This sounds like a question for the relevant tertiary institutions. I would contact them and ask what happens.

For JMP rural community leader support letter it mentions " Verification of RRAS or RCEL status All RRAS or RCEL applicants are required to provide a statement in support of their rural or remote status - this statement needs to be from a local rural community leader. (Examples of rural community leaders are: School Principals, School Teachers, Member of Local, State or Federal Government, Pharmacist, Registered Nurse, Accountant or Veterinarian). The purpose of the statement is to validate an applicant’s rural or remote status - it is not a character reference. The statement must include the rural or remote location in which you resided (street address, town, postcode) and the period of residence covered by the statement" Can a AHPRA registered enrolled nurse write one? I had two doctors in rural, one is retired and the other one works in a different clinic and they advised me they cannot help as they do not have access to my information from past anymore.

Yes, as long as the nurse is from that rural area. Have you asked your school as they generally keep a long record of this sort of information

Only UNSW & WSU have this clause.

It definitely used to be allowed.

Around the last week of November and the first week of December for local interviews. Mid January for interstate round.

Hi, does a fail on your university transcript impact your ability to get into newcastle med if your gpa is still above the threshold? (because the fail was from a pass-fail course that doesn't contribute to wam)

or would this be counted in the gpa calculation even though it is not counted in the wam calculation? any guidance would be greatly appreciated

Normally an ungraded Pass is not used for GPA calculation, since it does not reveal the HD/D/CR grade points.
But I'm not sure about a Fail. Since a Fail is zero grade point whether graded or ungraded, theoretically they can use that for the calculation.

Assuming the Fail is included, does it still give you 4.8+? If yes you should still pass the threshold.

what are the chances of receiving a top up offer for the jmp? i didn't receive a first round offer, and im wondering if the chances are typically lower because jmp tends to over-offer right? but how lower? if anyone has any specific numbers, that'd be much appreciated.

I am also interested in this...I didnt recieve an offer yesterday and wondered what my chances of getting an offer on the 22nd (2nd rnd) are. I reached out to JMP admissions and they said it depends on how many people decline the offers they sent out yesterday... and ofc depends on where we sit on the list etc

Hey, i understand that it's really disheartening fr. I reached out and they gave pretty much the same reply. Last year, JMP over-offered quite heavily, so it seems that this year they have changed their approach and sent out a relatively lower amount of offers. This could mean that they have more top-ups this year, but at the same time there may also be more competition considering that metro interstates haven't even sat their ints. So, I would say that we shouldn't lose hope, but at the same time don't rely on receiving an offer. Also, it's so suspenseful cus we can't know our place on the waiting list....

Given how high the UCAT was for interstate applicants, maybe there are less interviews for them anyway? And they have to do them in-person. A lot of potential interstate candidates will have local offers by that point. Good luck!

Yeah it is rough not knowing where we sit on the waitlist. Would be so great to even know how we scored on the interview and what the cut off was for offers...like did we just miss out or did we completely bomb? Fingers crossed for you for second round!

i really hope so! but again, i feel pretty strongly that my int isn't competitive enough for the top 20-30 as a rural student, so im hoping that an unusually high amount of people reject jmp this year in favour of other unis . then again, its prolly heavily unlikely. but yes, the in-person point is pretty good too!
