LaTrobe La Trobe Dentistry: General Discussion

Hey, does La Trobe have preferences for certain groups of applicants? I’m applying from NZ and was wondering if there’s less priority placed on me, since I’m non-Aus and non-rural??

Hey guys, do you need to complete 8 full subjects to be considered for internal transfer into dent? I've only done 7 but i have credit for one of the subject.

They accepted transferred credits in previous years, but it's best to contact the admissions team to confirm.

Hey there! Im currently studying 2nd dent at LaTrobe and our cohort is primarily local students - Melbourne students, couple of interstates and internationals. While other cohorts also follow a similar dynamic, I wouldn't say its not rare to have someone from New Zealand. I know of some students who are from Tasmania and New Zealand too :)) Hope this helps!

I emailed La Trobe asking this question and their reply was:
"There is currently no catering option available for our accommodation in Bendigo.
Apologies if this is an inconvenience."

Does anyone have any advice on which hall to choose between Hillside, The Terraces and The Units?

I saw a thread on it on mso but it seems to be locked out so would love some advice!!
 
Hey guys!

I contacted La Trobe and they just got back to me regarding Aspire for Dent. Even though the Aspire entry program was left open for an extra 2 days, it has since been closed, and any applications after that due date won't be regarded. We can expect to get offers sent out before October 1st :)

Did they give an exact date when emails of the outcome will be sent?
 
Hi.
Just to confirm, is there no UCAT required for Latrobe's Bachelor of Dental Science? As well as this, is there no interview? Just ATAR/GPA and UCAT score?

Okay, and so there's no interview for Year 12s AND if you are a nonstandard applicant? I'm asking because I am a nonstandard applicant. And must Unilearn Biology be completed before we apply for this course or is that just for those who have not done Biology at high school?
Also, does a personal statement need to be submitted? And is our university academic transcript obtained by VTAC directly for Latrobe dentistry?
