Otago Halls of Residence

Two suitcases medium size I guess, and a largish sports bag + like 2 backpacks.

I think I'm just getting a bit pedantic haha

Yeah...I've been putting stuff in and taking stuff out all week... I feel like I'm packing as if there won't be any shops down there or something haha

Oh god me too, I've discovered over the past week that I own an extremely excessive amount of clothes. I don't think they're going to fit into my room :P

I'm going to Salmond but i'm a bit worried! I saw some people say from last year that the people that run it are just out to get money by fining people for 'breaking the rules' and that everything is just a bit average really.. Oh well I hope it goes alright!

Nah Salmond is the best ;D

yeah, i'm like oh i better go get 'specific item' before i go down.. because i can't get it down there?

Dang, there goes that excuse <_< Haha what about any unusually hot days though?
Those days generally happen in the summer holidays, when the last thing you want to do is be in Dunedin.

Btw guys, in your last few days of Summer holidays, I hope you're not doing anything stupid like studying or reading your textbooks. This is your last opportunity to feel free/happy this year. Use it well.

Hi Guys! I don't know if this thread is still active or not but ive spent literally all today reading all 138 pages and this thread has really given me insight to what colleges I would like to stay at for next year.
Basically, im thinking of having
1. Knox
2. Hayward
3. Cumberland Collage

I havent seen anyone mention exchanges, so I was wondering if they would help me get into a college, specifically knox. I was hoping it would show cultural success? idk. But last year, in L2, I spent 6 months on a high school exchange in America. I got l1 with excellence, however, since i was away for half of last year, I only got l2 with merit. DO you think this will impact my ability to get into Knox or Hayward? I don't have much extra curriculars. Only 1 or 2 school groups that i just help in - im not a leader or anything.
So what do you guys think. Do you think my exchange is good enough to get me into my choices?
