Oh I see, did they ask you for the possible functions of integral membrane proteins ? i.e. signal transduction, cell recognition, enzymatic activity, intercellular joining and ECM connection?

Wasn't in the exam, but is definately fair game for it.
 
I'm more worried about details like Golgi action and the like.

I wish i was in my room at the hall, with its walls covered in bits of paper.

I guess a basic understanding of what it does and how it works is enough..
 
It's just difficult to put into words how both mechanisms work, individually and possibly at the same time - substances move through the apparatus from sac to sac and are modified as such, or sacs moving continuously and the entire system being modified.

[offtopic]and pfft greenglacier, we can't all have ensuites and king sized beds! I like my room, it's cosy and I find it easy to study in.... and my electric blanket is there![/offtopic]

It's 3.08am and I just got home from Hercus CAL to find that the MICR221 results are out! 92.5% for me!! There is still hope!!!! =D

But that is intense that you are up til 3am. At Hercus of all places.
 
meal time is something which I look forward to all the time...because it means I don't have to study.....gosh my life is so sad....anyway are we suppose to know all the definitions in the cels191 glossary???? Cos there is a LOT!!!!!

It would probably pay to know the ones you don't know because chances are you might know most of the already.
 
hey, anyone else whos revised CELS keen on going over the old exam papers via MSN or something considering theres no answers, itd be nice to discuss them with someone

lucky this year we didnt need to know much about photosynthesis 0_0
to last years HSFY students did you guys get a really hard question about cell junctions? because stephen bunn said that last year's students had a hard time understanding cell junctions.

okay sweet, i finish at 10am tomorrow, YAY!!! so it seems like i'll be doing a study marathon tomorrow ><"

And i thought we needed to know enough about Photosynthesis to compare/contrast it to cellular respiration ?
