Ah, Preparation before Healthsci begins might as well be a waste of time.

The course changes each year [slightly], so you might as well be learning useless information.

Enjoy the summer, it might be your last stress free summer for a long time.

ah, the joys of graduate entry.

We still have to do the first year courses, but without the associated stress.

(I believe graduates need to maintain a A- average across the first year courses??)

I thought it didn't matter, as long as you didn't get B- or lower?
Graduate entrants doing Healthsci look so pro

hey yeah its probably not ESSENTIAL to study in the summer holidays, but just a side note i did for the first 2 modules of CHEM191 but this is because my school didnt offer us the aqueous solutions paper so i HAD TO (sort of - i freaked out)

it helped a TON, i think it helped me do quite well in CHEM191, i dont even think i needed to study it for the first 2 modules which meant i had tonnes of time to catch up on lectures etc (to prepare i got slides from somone else, chem slides dont really change either)
- although it was hard studying on break i loved chem anyway so that prob helped

other than that i think it may work for physics too if you havent done it at school - dont disadvantage yourself a little work before really helped me and it hardly cost much (2hrs a day MAX during the last 5 weeks of the summer holidays) and i dont at all regret it

Hmm.. I still say it's really wasting a whole summer. Some people struggled with chem [including myself] even with the help of lecturers and labs. I don't see how self-study before Uni would help, it might frustrate you even more if you don't understand the content.

yep gotta agree, just enjoy your break i think, WHILE IT LASTS, and enjoy o-week, get crunk get hammered, get trolleyed, or whatever the 'youngins' call it :P

I've applied for "Introductory Chinese I" Summer School paper....

But other than that I think i'll just be going over/creating new memory palaces for.. Chem and Physics (given the previous posts. :p) over the summer.

Dunedin sure empties out.

EDIT: Staying over the summer, Ramza?

- But I will be here for summer school doing, bioanth or forensic biol which ever one seems best, and i'll drop the one i dont like and start they year with an A in the belt :) good idea.|

P.s as a hsfy are you allowed to do that paper as your 8th paper?

Kk, damn, nah I'll be staying here over the summer since we're on a fixed term with rent. Hey you could always take both Summer School papers, I hear it gives a real... rush?.

Don't think Introductory Chinese I was in the list of available 8th papers btw.

Lol, my laptop doesn't have an F4 button?

Biochem was better than hubs for me. Hopefully they scale it up as well. Though it was much easier than last year.

Uhhh, help for epi?

I'm so lost as to how to cram 4 months of lectures into 1.5 days.(n)

lol yeah so little time for epi, ohwell cant believe friday is the last exam for hsfy ..

i wonder if the epi test will have any hiv questions in short answers? considering the pre released is on that topic? is it likely?

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Last Official Healthsci exam tomorrow [ Maori doesn't count xD]

Although I'm f***ed for epi yeah? Oh well.

Thanks GG/Skyglow1/koochkooch/Sasol for the awesome advice throughout the year.

yeahhh finished, epi was ok not too bad it was pretty different than previous years.. now the wait for results...

A lot of people found it easy, i'm a bit concerned that they will mark harshly or try to lower the average down some other way.

I personally thought it wasn't too bad, just concerned if I actually answered what they wanted.

maori should be a synch!! all the best for decemeber guys

Hey guys! Good luck for those who still have exams but for the rest of you health scis... WHOOOOOOOT! I hope most of you get into your desired course, but if not then I wish you all the best of luck for your future plans.

Have a great summer, time to relax and forget all about health sci and the drama that has happened this year. :)
