It seems the student bond at Otago is really strong. Wondering if there is any study groups or tutoring groups at Auckland Uni.

You will most likely find them sitting in the front few rows in the lecture theatres....
...But don't get too close to them, remember it's every dog for himself and they can't be trusted. You'll sit down in the auditorium with around 300 people, and when you do remember that every single one of them wants to see you fail. They are the enemy!
Lab partners are to be roughted for all their value then cast aside. Maintain the illusion of cordiality only as long as it serves your purpose then thrust the knife into the putrid belly of farsical friendship.

Outwit, out last, out survive. Don't let the tribe speak!

Hi! Have anyone got their accepatance letter from Otago University for the Health Science First Year course yet?

It was really fun and I really did enjoy it a lot of the time but you just get over it by the end.

I avoided the food like the plague and just tried out the local restaurants.
I remember the nice little bathroom down the corridor and watching gladiator on the huge telly. That was on the 14th Feb 2008.

"Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife and I will have my venegence!!!"
Go Russ!

Hi everyone. :) Much happier now that I have compared my results with my friends - talk about schadenfreude. Thanks for everyones nice responses.

umm... by any chance were you thinking of Lord of The Flies when you wrote this? This evoked LOTF, I hope HSFY isn't as b^tchy/cut throat as it sounds. I have had enough of this -please let there be some genuine people there.

This may sound like an inane question, but what type of stationary do students in HSFY use? Appart from writing paraphernalia, do you use different exercise books for a paper or refill paper and put into a ringbinder or one big exercise book for all paper?

Could someone please explain to me how a GPA works. I was reading it on some sites and was talking about credit hours and I do not know what that is?? What would a GPA be if someone were to get above the 70% in the papers for consideration into professional entrance??

thanks:)
