As per everyone else, I read the entire archive (which is like, 500 pages :p ) during HSFY. And I've read every single post in this thread
So have I. Now that's really sad, isn't it. The lengths I go to to procrastinate...[/offtopic]

Is 33/44 for S2 an ok score? I did not really sit down without distractions or used the full 50 mins, but I thought I would give it a quick shot just to test the water.

I know that we don't really know how they derive the scores for UMAT, but is there a good target grade to get? Please don't say "try to get everything right" because I don't think everyone can achieve such brilliance :)

We give such vague answers because we really don't know. This thread will give you as good an indication as possible.

LOL I had a look at that before posting, so in other words that score was "relatively crap". Did you find the practise tests much easier than the real test Fruit?

Are we allowed to write on the test booklet? The annoying thing about the ACER online tests is I can not annotate the actual text to refer back to!

Personally, I found section one easier on the actual UMAT, section two harder, and section three confused me endlessly in both the 'real thing', and on the ACER practice papers.
But that's just me, UMAT's difficulty is hideously subjective.
Basically, I don't buy into the whole 'you need to be getting 100% on the practice papers' thing, I can't remember my exact scores on the ACER booklets, but they weren't all that crash-hot, certainly not 100% (my marks are somewhere on that thread I linked, but I cbf going through it to find them, lol).
And I'd imagine you can write on the test paper? I didn't even contemplate doing so, but I'd imagine there's nothing stopping you.

Lol thanks! At least for me I won't have the pressure because I am just doing UMAT this year for the sake of doing it, though it sucks that the UMAT scores are only valid for one year now! Especially if I do a relatively good job! But hey at least I will be able to pin point my strengths and weaknesses :)

Really excited to go!

[MENTION=9869]Hari[/MENTION], I think 33/44 is fairly good! But that's great, taking the UMAT to pinpoint weaknesses/strengths is great -> this way you can work on your weaknesses for the actual run! :) Good luck with everything!

HSFYs: To anybody that was in 5pm HUBS stream, how freaky was it when the lecturer just stopped and had like this massive *I'm going to kill you* stare? Was anybody here actually in the lecture theatre when this happened? what happened? LOL... I heard him say "A lot of people's spouse's must be.... " (didn't hear the rest of it) Castle 1 just smirked for a bit, but that was such a long, weird silence haha.

A lot of people stood up and left randomly and he got mad.

(Or maybe there's some rule that he can't lecture if someone's standing up..?)

oh ok! jeez, that was pretty rude of them! BTW, only a few more posts until something *magical* happens! :D

Hahaha, WHAT??? XD

[OFFTOPIC]Oh, it was so sweet when our neurons lecturer put up a slide with a green whale saying "good luck for your test!!!"[/OFFTOPIC]

[OFFTOPIC]haha that's so sweet! our HUBS lecturers do it without fail, some of the others do it (chem doesn't, i told you chem was evil) :P[/OFFTOPIC]

Also, he said "A lot of people's spouses must be giving birth." Haha :D I felt sorry that people were leaving on him.
LOL. that reminds me of the CELS guy from like lecture 2? Lol true that, I would have felt *very* scared if I had been leaving and he'd decided to do that freaky stare haha, but still, I reckon it was pretty damn rude of them to just get up and leave while he was talking!

Haha, the thing is, the "whale" was actually a neuron he had drawn up and displayed on the first slide to show us all of the main channels present that contribute to the RMP and so on. Then he went on to say that "Hopefully I shall see some of you guys at Grafton [med campus] next year." (In an exotic accent haha.) No pressure, right??? :p

Yeah, we have a wacky chem lecturer who always takes us for the "overview" lectures and she just acted so condescendingly... like "How could you not know that? It is obvious." <--- only if you're a chem genius would you think that XD

Yeah he's pretty much the best hubs lecturer we've had so far! Clear, concise, ends lectures early.

Silly people.
