I meant having GLMs as online tests and not in the midterm or final would be like 1 less page of questions. Their mid sounded shorter in the number of marks than our midterm test too.

Yeah. Their terms were worth 20% not the 30% last year. They have it easy. :p

The competition doesn't get easier. It could even increase the competition because of the new cells GLMs so it means less to study for in the final and more people would know the content

Ya I'd rather have a stupidly hard test so I can separate myself from the masses instead of everyone getting A+ and having UMAT decide entry.

I guess it's up to people who are studying this year to distinguish themselves from the crowd. I couldn't agree with you more. UMAT is one of the most badly intentioned exams ever created. It's so pointless. ARGHH!!!

Its kind of ironic how UMAT is meant to test your people skills when some of the people sitting it would almost cut your throat to beat you..

I fail to see how sitting at a desk, reading and writing answers on a piece of paper is meant to test your people skills.

"people skills" is a bit vague. It tests your reading, comprehension, reasoning, logical and analytical skills. Well sections 1 and 3 do anyway, section 2 - "understanding people" - is probably the biggest flaw in UMAT. If you've done a hella lot of novel reading and have studied many different Shakespearean plays/dramas, then you're probably going to do well in S2...Which is unfair for those who do actually have "people skills" but aren't exactly quick readers/comprehenders.

Well put koochkooch. Couldn't have put it better myself.

Lol UMAT is rather pointless but is something that has to be done. I heard ******** provide pretty good resources. Anyone going?
Thank goodness UMAT doesn't count so much here (like 15%?). But then again we have an interview to prepare for...

At least in interview you're sorta in more control of your destiny haha. UMAT is a bit of an unknown when it comes to having an idea of how well you did.

It appears they have changed the UMAT policy in the 2009 UMAT booklet. Rather than your most recent mark counting towards the UMAT weight it is going to be the BEST mark that counts. Won't apply to you poor kiddies doing UMAT this year, but it will come into effect for the lucky ones next year (applying for 2011 professional). In my opinion it's a way for ACER to make more money  It'd be an advantage to sit UMAT both in year 13 and in HSFY then.

My msn and stuff used to be skyglow2 haha cause I screwed up my skyglow1 account. And yes Imad I'm not pleased you made that account :P

Real skyglow, perhaps you could take it as a compliment. Skyglow2 probably admires you so much, he wishes to be just like you in every way possible.

Anyone want to be toaster2?
