I did my UCAT on the 4th of July at Kent St! This was my 3rd attempt:

202120222023
Verbal Reasoning650630880
Decision Making680670770
Quantitative Reasoning700740800
Abstract Reasoning880870830
Total291029103280
SJT646629704

Very happy with my improvement ☺️

I'm applying to med at UNSW, JMP, JPM and JCU
Hey, this is not exactly abt the ucat but I'm curious as to what you are doing now as I am someone who is unlikely to gain ungrad entry into dent as a school leaver so looking into alternative pathways. eg, are you studying a bachelors degree, on gap years or working?

I have done 1 year of a bachelors degree and am now on a gap year actually!

oh okay that sounds great, didn't know it was possible to do a gap year then tbh. do you mind sharing what degree was it in and also do you know if it matters what degree it is? eg if someone does 1 year of an arts degree but wants to transfer/ apply into undergrad med using their gpa...

Yeah my uni allows us to take program leave of up to 1 year which is what I'm doing. I won't divulge specifics but my degree is completely unrelated to health and I know that med/dent universities don't care about what degree you're doing. E.g. a 7 GPA in an arts degree would be regarded as equal to a 7 GPA in a medsci/science/health related degree

Just did the ucat today and achieved following scores:
VR: 600 (majority of the passages were kinda long, got unlucky☠️)
DM: 770
QR: 880
AR: 890
Total: 3140
I’m a non-rural school leaver from QLD with a predicted atar of 99.8 above. Could anyone suggest what uni’s interviews i’m likely to get? Thanks in advance

just curious what were your mock scores in the lead up to the exam? were you consistently in the 3100-3200, 3000-3100 range etc? thanks

Let's do this exercise together so others can do same for themselves.

On the big IF this year is the same as last year : 3140 is around 96-97%ile.
Now familiarise yourself with this table
> [Undergrad] - (2023 Updated) Med schools Selection Criteria Y12s & Non-standards

I can help with the first clue that with 600VR 96-97%ile non-NSW, WSU/JPM is out.
Together with 99.80 you should get several interview invites, can you work out yourself which unis/schools?

Thanks a lot, probably gonna try for UQ, if not then UNSW and Monash using UCAT ATAR combo

Yes you almost got it :)

If things this year are same as last year you should get interview invites from UQ, CQU, JMP, Adelaide on your UCAT score alone.

Combined with 99.80 you should also get UNSW, UWA, Curtin if you're interested. However it's borderline for Monash interstate applicants, in fact 96-97%ile could even be not enough.

Ello everyone, sat mine last night and I'm an RA2 student so pretty happy with what I've got.
I had prep and honestly felt the exam was very different to the mocks, that being said I did my second best score so far in the actual test.
Verbal Reasoning640
Decision Making770
Quantitative Reasoning750
Abstract Reasoning750
Total Score2910
Situational Judgement516

Hey congrats, can you please elaborate on what you mean that it was different?

This is entirely my personal experience and I've seen alot say the mocks were similar, but I specifically found DM and QR had questions I was not familiar with. Overall I'd say the actual one was easier, but leaving the exam room I could not tell at all how it went whereas doing mocks I had a sense whether or not it was good in the moment. Could just be me tbh
For an idea, I was averaging 2800 in my most recent 5 mocks on prep.

Hey team just reminder not to name any prep companies as per forum rules.
Just adding to this: there is to be no discussion of prep companies at all, not just not naming them.

Just steer clear altogether or talk very generally about ‘mocks’. It’s a legal issue from on high and not the decision of moderators or admins.

Thank you.

What are my chances considering im GWS but my sjt is terrible?
You were asking about offer chances but given all NSW unis have an interview component it’s very difficult to say.

Looking at your interview chances may be a little more straightforward. Did you follow the method A1 helpfully outlined above? What conclusions have you arrived at based on his table?
