Hi everyone! I'm a non-rural non-GWS standard applicant. I graduated in 2022 with a 99.60 ATAR. Yesterday I sat my UCAT and got the below scores after a 300+ point improvement from last year:
VR: 750
DM: 730
QR: 770
AR: 900
Total: 3150
I'm hanging out for interviews particularly for NSW unis and 2024 med entry, can anyone give me some insight into my chances at various Unis? UoN and UNSW are probably my first choices - are my scores realistic?
hey please share your tips and strategies that helped you to improve! great score !

Although JMP last year increased to 3100 it's a safe bet your 3150 will make the cutoff this year.

So you should get all three NSW interviews. Place offer chances are JMP 25-35% (considering some top JMP qualifiers may get a higher pref elsewhere thus not take away a JMP spot), WSU 33-40%, UNSW also around 30-40%.

If on a gap year you also have some chances at Adelaide and UWA.

EtA: I have noticed similar questions from other members. Due to work I can only help answer the simple ones that I know offhand what to write. If they involve checking your scores against last year then I can't, sorry.

Hello! Sat UCAT for the first time today and got these scores as a non-GWS applicant:

VR: 720
DM: 870
QR: 770
AR: 860
Total: 3220

WSU Formula: 769.2

I'm a little annoyed that I scored low on VR like that because now I'm biting my nails wondering if I'll make the WSU cutoff this year - but all in all pretty grateful.

Hi:
morning! I'm a GWS, EAS YEAR 12 applicant. expect ATAR 99.10.
Yesterday I sat my UCAT and got the scores 2900
VR: 700
DM: 730
QR: 770
AR: 800
Total:2900
any chance for interviews particularly for NSW unis and 2024 med entry, can anyone give me some insight into my chances at various Unis? UoN, WSU and UNSW are probably my first choices - any chance for interstates. Thank you !

Shouldn't your UCAT total be 3000?
With 700VR and the rest quite higher it looks like your formula score is higher than the 710 cutoff last year for GWS. Hopefully WSU interview.

JCU interview possible if you write up a good application. Doesn't look enough for other schools despite EAS.

All readers please note: We/I try to be realistic with these predictions. But you should still apply to all schools you're eligible for, because... we can well be wrong haha.

congratulations for those who did high score. I am so upset. I only got 3040 this year. Is there any chance i can get interview if my atar is 99.7?

Several schools have switched to singly UCAT cutoff for interview (around 95-96%ile 3100) which disadvantages your 3040.

UNSW otoh uses ATAR+UCAT combo provided the ATAR is 99.5+. I have seen 99.90+92%ile got UNSW interview, your 99.7+3040 is borderline depending what %ile 3040 ends up at.

UWA and/or Curtin are possible, CQU/USQ too. WSU depends on your VR score and whether you are NSW or non-NSW.

Typo? Did your report itself say 2900? Like A1 said, it adds up to 3k.

Hey everyone, finding this forum really educational.

I recently did my UCAT with got the following scores:
VR: 660
DM: 830
QR: 900
AR: 640
Total: 3030 :(

I was expecting to get way higher in VR (based on what I got in other mocks), so WSU was always an option for me until now haha. With that said, my aim is UNSW med (predicted ATAR >99.5). Other than USYD's 99.95 entry requirement (which, of course, is extremely difficult to achieve), is UNSW/ WSU possible? Are there other unis (preferably in NSW) that I could get into with this UCAT score? Thanks :D

Are you rural ? If not, it is hard to get interview offer. Nowadays medical schools require ucat above 94 percent like 3100

Hello everyone, I recently took the UCAT and achieved a score of 2900. While I understand that this score is not considered competitive for med, I'm wondering if it could still qualify for a second-round interview at Monash University, given my approximate ATAR of 99 and the fact that I have the Monash Guarantee. Thank you.
