Don't worry I heavily doubt the cutoffs for Griffith to suddenly increase by 100.

Hi after the UCAT releases, I was wondering if I stand a good chance for UNSW. I have a projected ATAR of 99.45, with two categories of EAS (both deemed extremely severe), and a UCAT of 3080 (91st percentile). I’m also open to interstate universities if any were possible.
SEAS estimated boost to 99.95 and UES 99.95 step up for flinders, no rural.

Except I'm a gap yr w a 99.00. I got a single category of EAS/SEAS (estimated .95 SR boost)

This is getting insane!!
When UCAT started here 2019 90%ile was 2850. Five years later 2850 is a mere 77%ile and 90%ile has jumped 210 marks.



I'm pretty sure they all use the actual score.
Like when someone asked JMP they said the cutoff was 3160, not 95 or 96 %ile.

Wow. The scores have really jumped up this year. The number of applicants sitting UCAT annually has been in the 14,000s. This year it has gone up to over 15,000. An increase of 1,131 from last year. Wonder why the increase in number of applicants undertaking UCAT? Could this explain the higher scores as more people = more competition? At this rate next year may crack 3100

Any slim chance for Adelaide Uni med and dent interview?
No chance for any interviews with QLD med and dent UCAT uni's, right? e.g CQU, Uni of Southern Queensland etc etc

Depending on their SJT score they may have a crack at UQ dent. 3030 imo should still be safe for a griffith dent interview being exactly 100 points above last years minimum cutoff for one. Obviously this is dependent on what their ATAR is too.

Probably a more likely shot at griffith dent over UQ dent by the looks of it, as that combined score of 3620 is under last years cutoff by quite a bit and this years scores have gone up heaps.

You are right....waiting game.

Current proposed QTAC selections. Not sure what to put in for 6th and last selection. Might even try for Bond in January.

local cutoff is lower for interview last year was 2810, however this means that post-interview you are competing with interstates who get high ucats and hence you need a high atar and interview to close the gap

Whats my chance for Griffith Dent, Adelaide Dent and CSU Dent. I got 3140 and I am a non-standard however QTAC/SATAC said my atar will be used as I graduated within the last 2 years (FYI I got a low 98 ATAR) and my GPA is currently 5.82 but should go up to 5.9 by end of the year. Also I got 620 in VR and being GWS im trynna apply for WSU Med.... not sure if that holds a chance... Any response would b eappreciated

Your WSU-weighted is 755 vs last year GWS cutoff 740.

The total UCAT score has gone up by 60 marks = on section basis 15 marks, putting you right on the borderline.

Your WSU-weighted is also 755 so see my reply for GWS a few posts above.
With EAS a UNSW interview is quite possible.

I don't think it's likely for other med schools but who knows. Not sure about Dent.

Qld applicant with 93%ile I think very likely to get UQ interview. Good luck.
