no idea. they are just rumors. I honestly believe it would come on the 16th partially because a lot of med school applications are due on the 30 September so it would give a comfortable fortnight to complete them
EDIT: I am leaning onto the 15th of August Sept as that would be a Monday as that happened last time
someone replied that it was bc of some webinar made to talk about what percentiles mean but i can't see it now. i feel like you wouldn't need the scores for each percentile to discuss percentiles in general so idk we'll find out soon enough

It's bc last year ucat finish date was 17 of august and this year ucat test finished on 5 aug

It was 9 august

Hi I got a score of 2270
770 VR
720 DM
780 QR

I'm a non-standard GWS applicant with an atar of 98.45 and WAM of 80+ (will try to bring it up to 85+ by end of year). Was wondering how my chances were looking for Medical and Dental schools around Australia?

With these NEW PRELIMINARY STATISTICS, I am incredibly overwhelmed about the percentiles and cutoffs. Anyone know how my chances in interviews are looking like?

Are you in yr 12 or in uni already? Coz WAM refers to uni students only I reckon

Thank you A1, you have any thoughts about UCAT cut off for CQ uni @ Rocky /Bundi.

___________
A1 replies: No idea, sorry.
Browse through this thread see if you pick up any Rocky/Bundi interview invites. Note that they may not be the true cutoff since there could be invites to lower UCAT who didn't post up on MSO

not A1, but have had a lot of involvement with CQU this year, so heres my input :)

Basically their new med entry scheme they introduced new this year starting for 2026 entry has all applicants that are not of a regional/remote area in tier 4. To have a chance against their now very strong preference for students local to the university (rocky and bundy), and then regional students outside of this in QLD, then further, students who are not in the footprints would need an extremely competitive UCAT and ATAR, however would still not be preferenced what so ever, despite having higher scores. Whereas in previous years, their tiers were set up so that if you had competitive UCAT/ATAR, it kind of balanced out and you had a good chance even against locals.

Unfortunately this also means that previous year interview/offer stats aren't as helpful as it will be completely different this year solely because of their new system.

Sorry its a bit wordy, or if doesnt make sense haha, any questions/clarity needed let me know and i'll try my best to answer!

Hello,
I got a 2280 UCAT+ 670 SJT. I am QLD, non-rural. What are the chances of getting an interview for UQ medicine, CQU med, UQ dentistry and griffith dentistry?

___________
A1 replies: Being Qld local you should definitely get UQ interview. Not sure about CQU/USQ since I believe they preference local regional students, but include them in your QTAC application as well.
I don't know the UCAT cutoff for Griffith Dent.
UQ Dent iirc the cutoff was around 3700 including SJT. Deducting say 800 for AR it would be around 2900 so your 2950 has a good chance if you meet the ATAR 99+ requirement.

Thank you so much! Also just wondering for VTAC application why is there no place to put your UCAT ANZ ID. Thing is I completed my application ages ago and I forgot if there was a place to put in your UCAT ID and if I did place it in already. Does anyone know how I can check if I already gave my UCAT ID?
When you go to the home icon there will be a section 'Course Requirements' and it should have a green tick next to UCAT if you have already submitted your ID, if you have not you can select complete additional tasks. Hope this helps :)

So for course switchers, does ATAR still taken into consideration along side with WAM and UCAT?
“Course switcher” =/= “non-standard”. They’re not interchangeable terms. As far as I’m aware, the course switcher terminology only applies to Curtin and I don’t know much about that process.

Can I ask what my chances are looking for my score 2410? Am a non-rural vic local but willing to go anywhere. Got 820 VR, 710 DM and 880 QR

___________
A1 replies: Vic local 2410 you should get interviews from Monash, JMP, Adelaide.
Probably borderline for WSU and UQ. UNSW if ATAR 99.50+.
Thanks A1. Any idea about my chances for Notre Dame? A bit stressed that my score is borderline for interstate

UCAT 2270 is unlikely to make JMP.
Looks like borderline for WSU-GWS interview.

It also doesn't look enough for UNSW unless you get GPA near 7. Sorry for the not encouraging news.

___________
A1 replies: 2240 is unlikely enough for the UCAT schools, except a small chance for UNSW/Monash thanks to the 99.95.
However 99.95 should give you a straight place offer from Griffith & USC, UMelb Chancellors (I think UMelb accepts overseas 99.95s now), possibly Flinders place, a USyd interview, possibly JCU interview. That should keep you busy enough
Hi A1, I thought for NZ umelb was impossible as umelb chancellors is only for internationals or domestic aus students who completed their final year of schooling in aus? Would anyone be able to confirm. Tysm!!!

Yes I saw that Year12 in Aus only in previous years. But now I see overseas schooling is acceptable if ruled equiv to Aus 99.90+.

Best you give UMelb a call to confirm.
