The in person UCAT is just as laggy as the official mocks also, don't think that's a purely online thing unfortunately.
I personally found the in person exam to be fine maybe a bit stretched out but nothing else, the only negative about in person was the pens/laminated sheets, which were pretty hard to write on and use effectively

maybe mine was just laggy, I don't think it really impacted my performance tho it just took like a full second after I clicked.

It’s...quite laggy. Like the official mocks level of laggy haha. But I think it’ll be fine. Just don’t burn out before the exam and focus on getting good sleep. Don’t do anything stressful or major before the exam. All I did was chillax by watching League of Legends videos lol. (In moderation, you don’t want to strain your eyes). Just be careful about the webcam and online exam experience...it’s kinda bad since you can very rarely move out of the screen which imo defeats the purpose of the whiteboard. It’s also very very much terrifying knowing someone is watching you behind that camera and one wrong move means your exam being revoked.
The league videos were me too lol. The music videos for Worlds are really inspiring.

Just did the proctored UCAT and got a score of 2760. The experience was terrible as I encountered 1.5 hours of technical issues (the Pearson Vue app showed that programs were running in the background when they weren’t) before getting admitted into the exam. I doubt I could claim this as mitigating circumstances but it was a really poor experience and I kind of lost motivation for the rest of the exam. Any chance I would be competitive for any med/dent schools? I’m not rural or anything, just a graduate student

Honestly it’s quite bleak. So sorry to hear this; but def agreed that the OnVUE experience was bad. Not much you can do, and even if you tried, there won’t be any room for retakes because testing period is almost over. It sucks but the general vibe I’ve gotten dealing with UCAT ANZ and Pearson Vue is that they really do not care. I mean you can try still email UCAT and see if a retake is possible, but I don’t really know :(. As for competition, without Rural qualification, I’m sorry to break it to you, but you basically have very little to no chance. :( Maybe try and apply to JCU, since they don’t use UCAT.

If you are a graduate student you could consider studying in NZ, in particular at the University of Otago [Aus students are considered domestic] through the graduate entry pathway. I think your UCAT would meet the threshold but they have like subsection criteria which you might be able to find on the forum. However your GPA would have to be quite high, there is a formula and past offers to compare to which you can use to determine. Same would also apply to Otago Dent School. The qualifications are considered equivalent to Aus Dent/Med schools.

A resit would not be granted normally in such circumstances unfortunately.
