Predicting UCAT Scores from Mock Exam Results

I have my test tomorrow and i wanted to do something just to take my mind off it so i edited my scores spreadsheet to make a template others can use.
I recommend downloading and opening in excel because idk if google sheets will have the same functionalities.
There's bound to be some errors so please PM me and ill fix them.

If all goes well tomorrow and i dont sink into depression then ill be uploading my scores tomorrow :)

Hello! I just sat my UCAT today, so here are my mock scores. I used someone else's template in the thread, so thank you to them because it is very beautiful hahaha Screen Shot 2021-07-14 at 4.59.25 PM.png
For context, here are the dates that I sat the mocks:
4/7: Test A (hence the lowest score)
7/7: Mock 1
8/7: Mock 2
9/7: Mock 3 and 4
11/7: Mock 5, 6, and 7
12/7: Mock 8, Test D
13/7: Test C and B
14/7: the real thing :)

I also did most of those mini mocks between the 4th-9th. Last year I got 2690, so I hope I can serve as proof that you can improve your score by like 450 in a week and a half of study lmao

G'day Cobb,
First of all, well done on your results.
Secondly, how did you find VR in the real thing. .. looks like you were tracking for something a bit higher.

Hi! Thanks :) I found that it was quite similar to the official mocks, but ever since last year VR has been my worst section (I'm a slow reader) so I think it was a combo of lack of confidence about VR as well as just overall nerves since it's at the beginning of the exam.

Hello everyone!
I compiled my UCAT score results over my study period - hopefully, this helps someone out!
Overall quite pleased with my result as I scored higher than my average mock score.
- VR: always found this section quite hard so satisfied with my exam score
- DM: significantly lower than I predicted as I ranged in the 700-900 for nearly all mocks, found the questions to be quite wordy, confusing to follow.
- QR: relatively easier/similar to mocks
- AR: easier than mocks

Calculated averages at the end of each table row. Shown by my decreased AR average, I found that the AR questions became more difficult in the later mocks.

Hey all,
Took me a while to collate and tabulate all my scores but below are my full mock scores and the official mocks that I did in the last 3 weeks of preparation. I did do many subtest mocks as well but I didn’t summarise them here.

^From the top of my head, I believe official mock A was done earlier but B, C and D were done later. I believe the official mocks (especially, C and D) are quite similar to the real exam.

Good luck to everyone yet to take their exams!

Hey congrats on your amazing score. I see that you improved in DM a lot from your first mock. How did you manage this?

Hi, it was mainly time management. In my first mock, I wasn't flagging any questions and just sitting there doing every question, which made me waste a lot of time especially since the easier questions are usually at the end. I also did a lot of practice questions and focused on the types that I was bad at. Hope this helps :)

First time sitter! I just had my exam this morning and I scored 3370!

I apologise for the mess that is this formatting :p
Really goes to say that you don't need to complete all the mocks available to you to score highly! Also, good job on the VR score - how was your timing for this section in the real thing?

i had >5 minutes after going through the whole section and flagging hard questions! i guessed a lot first round through though because i was sorta out of it

oh wow huge improvement from last year!! congratulations!!!!!! I'm in a similar position to you, I scored 2830 last year and I want to at least hit the 3000 mark this year. I was wondering when did you sit the mock exams (especially the official ones) relative to your exam date?

thank you so much!! I did my very first mock around 3 weeks before my exam date. I didn't do much throughout the year cos i was always so stressed out with uni hahaha. I remember saying to myself that I'd do one mock every single night but that ended up being impossible for me without being burnt out, so I just did one every few days and made sure to go through the results thoroughly!

Hi everyone, I have a question. I don’t know whether to use online conversion tables to decipher my mock results or the raw score*600+300 method.
I just did the Official Mock D and did pretty averagely. :( These are my results:
VR: 29/44
DM: 23/29 (6 Y/N correct, 2 Partially correct, 12 MCQ correct)
QR: 23/36 rip
AR: 30/55 rip
Using online conversion tables, my score is roughly 2650 (67%), but using the other method it’s about 2781 (81%)? Which score do you think is more representative of my performance in this mock? Thank you to anyone who can help!! :)
