Hey everyone, I have my test in 3 days and until the past 2-3 days I was scoring 60-65th percentiles consistently and then I got an 80th and 97th percentile in my last two. I do feel as I have made huge improvements these past couple days but I’m wondering if you guys think that’s a fluke? congrats on the improvement! i definitely think it is possible to improve quickly like that, your hard work is paying off! as your test is only a few days away, stay confident and trust that you will do your very best on the day

I think the most important thing is to not focus on what you get for your mocks or worry over if they will reflect your performance in the real test - instead focus that energy into doing well

Don’t think of it a fluke! Think of it as all your hard work, effort and lessons learned from past mocks benefitting you in more recent mocks keep up the positive attitude and all the best for your exam!

Hi, How did you guys convert your DM marks? If possible does anyone have a spreadsheet of DM mark conversions?

I use a conversion method as so:
(9 syllogisms, with possible 18 marks) x/18 where x is the points from syllogisms (3/5 correct statements=0, 4/5=1, 5/5=2 for individual syllogisms)
Then take the other total available points (20, given there are 20 other questions all worth one mark) y/20 (where y is the number of correct questions that aren't syllogisms)
Now summate it as (x+y)/38. It is out of 38 because the total marks are 20+18=38.
Multiply this fraction by 600 and then add 300, as shown:
(x+y)/38 x 600 + 300.
Here is an example:
I scored 6 correct syllogisms, 2 partially correct syllogisms, and 1 incorrect syllogism. Out of the other questions, I scored 15 correct and 5 incorrect. So for syllogisms - 14/18, and for other questions - 15/20. I add these together to give me 29/38. I then multiply this by 600 and then add 300 to give it as a percentage of the total scaled score:
29/38x600+300 = This gives me a whole score of 758.

I believe this is the most accurate method, and I hope you understand!

How did you find the actual QR in comparison to your mocks? I'm like achieving the same as your QR average but i was told that the mocks were much harder than the actual ucat, did you find it to be the opposite?

hey! I think they were about the same to be honest. To be completely frank, i lowkey freaked out halfway through my QR section because i thought i was running out of time, but in reality it was quite straight forward, could easily get >750 if you don't freak out and have good calculator skills. Good luck with your exam

Note: Watched a youtube video on the entirety of mock 7 explaning the outlier. Also I found Mock 6 much harder than the other 7 (whilst others remained consistent).

note: watched a youtube video on mock C AR hence the abnormally high AR score.
Overall I would say the official mocks represent VR and DM very accurately, and to an extent AR. However as has been a common sentiment the QR is insanely difficult (particuarliy mock A) so don't be too disheartened.

Was contemplating on whether I should post this as I was still upset about my underperformance but this thread helped me so much so here you go! AR was my strongest section so I don't know what happened - I did every question to the point where it became second nature. The patterns I got in the real exam were just extremely weird and while I was calm and collected, nothing clicked. My brain must have been fried at that point
