Hey! I’m from Sydney and moving to Adelaide for med :) I’ll be living at Lincoln College and I really want to make some friends haha so please message me!!

Hiya! I am really excited to start talking to people and making friends as soon as possible 😁! I am also going to Adelaide from Queensland. How do I use this private message system? I have been staring at my screen for like 15 minutes like an idiot haha

Helloo! I'm from Sydney too - and I'm going to Adelaide for med :) I pretty much made an MSO account right now so that I could reply to this post hahaha!! Would love to make a few friends before we start!!

So once you are done registering for an account and you log in,you should be able to see the course under support and well being (also visible under "my courses"). Click on the course and you should see the three modules you need to take. Just click one of them and use the arrow buttons on the top right hand corner to start and navigate through the module. Hope this helps
 
Hey guys! Does anybody know when we might get a bit more information regarding BMPs? They haven't sent me anything further apart from the initial offer and I don't know if there is anything that I am meant to do to get everything sorted.

It could take up until the middle of the year (I think different schools will be sent the info at different stages of the year), so don’t be hanging on the edge of your seat to receive something anytime soon. You could always contact the BMP scheme office if you’re eager to hear something soon.
 
I think there've been a few people here (myself included) talking about decline rates and how many top up offers UAdel make, and I recall a couple of people being surprised at the number.

Well, of the 20 non-rural offers posted here, 11 have already indicated they're accepting offers elsewhere, 1 is hoping for an offer elsewhere, and 1 is still deciding between UAdel and another offer. So, potentially 13 at the least and more than that if people just haven't updated here at MSO or mentioned their intention to decline... out of 20. That's very illustrative of what we had already observed :D

ETA: The stats are very similar for rural offers. 7 offers, minimum of 5 declined so far.
 
I just got a Bonded medical place offer for Adelaide, can anyone fill me in on a summary of the disadvantages to accepting this over an unbonded place in another uni? Is there anything specific I should be wary of before I accept?

Thank you so much, this is probably a pointless question but I'm freaking out and would appreciate some insight;

I accept this offer and do not wish to be considered for any other preference
I accept this offer but still wish to be considered for my higher preference(s)

There is no difference between these two in terms of the course you accept, right? Once SATAC has sent you an offer and accept, that's done and there's nothing that can ruin your place in the course unless I forget to enrol or something, right?

I've accepted the offer and received nothing from the uni yet that allows me to enrol, should I wait until business opens tomorrow morning before I start to worry? Is it automated or does it have to be done by a person.

Thank you so much for any and all help.

Hi! Congrats on your offer :) After accepting the offer, did you get a letter from SATAC regarding your offer acceptance? That's all you need. The Uni will contact you within 24 hours with information about how to enrol.

Im enrolled in all the subjects that you are, and I was worried I was missing something and losing my spot too, so last week I rang the faculty and attended one of their “drop in” sessions and they assured me I’m all enrolled correctly :)
 
Just wondering I haven’t seen anything about required vaccinations for first year Med students, does any or know or have read anything about this ?
