[Undergrad] UNSW Interstate Second-Round Interview Offers

See I'm different again, I was one of the interstate (rural) applicants so even though I made the cutoff for first round it was postponed. My email doesn't say what percent I need to be in, so I'm not sure how that works.
Dear Applicant

Welcome to the New Year.

I am contacting you again concerning your application to UNSW Medicine and our offer of an interview on January 24. It has been some time since we have made the offer to you, and you have no doubt reflected on whether or not you will attend, or under what circumstances you will or won’t attend.

We now require your assistance to finalise our preparation for January 24. As the number of potential interviewees is large, we need an indication as to the likelihood of your attendance, so please take one minute to put an X in the appropriate response below, and return the email.

Could you also add your name in the reply email and your UAC number (please see below)

Thanking you in anticipation,

Kind regards
... etc...
I'm wondering if that's because I'm rural or something else. I think I would actually be more comfortable if I actually knew what percentage I would have to be in :S

Do you want to ring and ask what you're percentile was?

I don't think others have this bit in their email... so perhaps they need to confirm this first before giving your percentage? But like what FunSponge said, give them a call :)

Also, i know i've asked this already but just some clarification... say i received a bonded offer from Monash first round and I accept it... what happens when i receive an offer from UNSW, can I then reject the offer from Monash?

Thanks for any thoughts!

Reject that mofo haha. You can always accept a second round offer if you prefer it.

UMAT: 92 (190 overall)
ATAR: 99.25 (VCE)
No SEAS + Interstate + Non-Rural

I was given that I had to be in the top 5%

Wow. It's these figures that show how tough UNSW can be to get into.

This is so crazy. I also received an offer today, but I thought I had no chance since i'd already received rejection emails months ago. Not sure what to think! I think the date of the interview is also the day before interstate interviews are scheduled for UWS!

Convenient that you're within the state then isn't it? ;)

hello everyone, do you think it matters what you reply as your likelihood of coming to the unsw interviews? Would you be disadvantaged saying you'll come only if you don't receive an offer in your state?
Thanks

Maybe if you dont explain yourself well at interviews you will get a few raised eyebrows. Otherwise no. Thats the whole point of holding interstater interviews at the end of January. Its to allow interstaters to check out their other offers before spending huge amounts of money on transport + board for a medical school interview.
